Sun., Feb. 6, 2022: Martin Ave - Disturbance - Officers dispatched to a disturbance. A party was assisted in getting to a safe location; Station St - Domestic Disturbance - Officers mediated a verbal domestic; 166th St NW – Agency Assist – An officer assisted Sherburne County on a medical emergency; BLPD – Agency Assist – Officers assisted Sherburne County process an impaired driver, as the BLPD is a breath test location.
Sat., Feb. 5, 2022: Eagle Lk Rd S – Suspicious Vehicle – Officers were requested to contact parties that drove into a driveway and spoke oddly to the homeowner. Unable to locate; February St - Civil – An officer discussed a civil situation with a caller; 227th Ave NW – Agency Assist – An officer assisted Sherburne County Deputies on a medical emergency call; Loon Loop - Fire Call – Smoke alarms sounding in a residence. No problems located; Lakeside Park – Community Policing Activity – Officers stopped by the United We Shiver event. The water looked cold, but the ribs were warm and delicious; Rose Dr/Fern St – Traffic Complaint – State Patrol Dispatch radioed a traffic complaint of a vehicle crossing lane lines that was heading toward Big Lake on Hwy 10. An officer monitoring that channel watched for the vehicle, saw it, and stopped it for conduct. The driver was cited for a cellular phone violation.
Fri., Feb. 4, 2022: Pleasant Ave - Runaway - Report of a runaway juvenile made by parents. A report was taken. Juvenile was located by officers and was returned home with a citation for running away; Aberdeen Way – Lift Assist – An officer assisted a party that fell and could not get up but was not injured; Minnesota Ave/Phyllis St - Vehicle Crash with possible Injuries - Two vehicles blocking the road. Ambulance responded. Tow trucks also assisted; Sherburne Ave - Property Damage - Report of damage to a building. Security video shared with officer provided vehicle information. The party responsible for the damage was contacted.
Thurs., Feb. 3, 2022: Station St – Suspicious Vehicle – Call to check a vehicle that was running for several hours; Range Pole Pt - Domestic Disturbance - Officers mediated a verbal domestic; Monroe St – Animal Call – Dog left outside all day in the cold. The dog was checked on; Monroe St – Vehicle Crash – A vehicle collided into an unoccupied vehicle. An officer assisted with information gathering.
Wed., Feb. 2, 2022: Manitou St - Fire Call – Fire alarms sounding. No problems found; Eagle Lk Rd N/Hwy 10 - Vehicle Crash - Report of a vehicle crash with no injuries. Report completed; 211th Ave NW – Agency Assist – An officer assisted Sherburne County Deputies on a medical emergency call; Rose Dr – Vehicle Lockout – An officer responded to a child locked in a vehicle. Vehicle opened; Lake Ridge Dr – Suspicious Activity – Footprints in the snow in front of multiple houses. An officer checked the area and documented. Possibly a meter reader; Jefferson Blvd – Security Alarm – Officers responded for an alarm. Building was checked and no issues were located.
Tues., Feb. 1, 2022: County 43/Hwy 10 – Check Welfare – Party walking close to roadway. An officer checked and the party was arriving home; Pond View Dr - Disturbance - Officers dispatched to a physical disturbance. Parties separated before officers arrived and did not cooperate with the officers’ investigation; Lake Ave - Fraud – An officer took an unemployment fraud report; Aberdeen Way - Property Damage - Report of damage done to a mailbox. Incident documented by officer.
Mon., Jan. 31, 2022: Eagle Lk Rd N/Hwy 10 – Traffic Complaint – Erratic driving and slow speed. Officers located and contacted driver; Sterling Dr - Fire Call - Assisted Big Lake Fire on a gas odor in residence; Fair Meadows Dr - Harassment - Officers investigated harassment via Snap-Chat; Humboldt Dr - Found Property – A license plate was turned in. An officer made attempts to contact the owner; Hwy 10/162nd Ln – Agency Assist – An officer assisted Elk River PD by providing emergency lights while a tow truck removed a vehicle from the ditch; Hwy 10/County 81 – Suspicious Vehicle – An officer noted the odd behavior of a driver as they passed the squad car on the roadway. Evasive maneuvers were made by the driver, including going to various business parking lots and changing parking spaces in the same parking lot. The officer contacted St Cloud PD to gain information about the vehicle, as the registered owner’s address was St Cloud. Information provided was the new owner’s name, and that the new owner had a warrant. The officer watched and followed the vehicle when it got onto Hwy 10. Traffic violations were observed, and the vehicle was stopped. The evasive driver was identified as the new owner with the warrant. The party was arrested and booked into Sherburne Jail.
