Sun., Sept. 18, 2022: Lift Assist – Minnesota Ave – Assisted uninjured party that fell; Gas Smell – Sterling Dr – Odor of sulfur. Officers and fire located a neighbor’s camper battery that was overheating and leaking battery acid; Gas Smell – Eagle Lk Rd S – FD obtained gas readings in laundry room. Utility company called to respond; Agency Assist – 186th St – An officer assisted Sherburne Deputies on a medical; Check the Welfare – Rose Dr – Vehicle with doors open occupied with party sleeping in the back. Officers checked. No problems. Taking a nap; Found Property – Sanford Select Acres Park – Officers called to pickup an abandoned bicycle. Bike brought to the PD; Traffic Stop – Lake St S – Stop for texting while driving. Citation issued; Open Door – Co Rd 43 – A patrolling officer saw a business door open. Officers checked and secured the business; Conservation – Hwy 10/Co Rd 50 – An officer removed a deceased deer from the road.

Sat., Sept. 17, 2022: Disturbance – Hiawatha Ave – Report of a party on a balcony throwing glass jars onto the roadway, causing them to shatter. An officer contacted the intoxicated residents about the behavior. They apologized and offered to clean up the glass. A pedestrian stopped and moved the glass to the side of the road while the officer was contacting the parties. The officer removed the glass from the roadway; Loud Music – Park Ave – An officer responded to the area but did not locate the music; Agency Assist – BLPD – An officer assisted a Sherburne Deputy on a DWI investigation; Traffic Complaint – Eagle Lk Rd/Minnesota Ave – Report of a vehicle tailgating; Disturbance – Blanding Ct – Report of a party kicking the front door. The party was gone when the officer arrived; Loud Music – Fern St – Complaint of loud live music. A business had a live band; Disturbance – Henry Rd – Party yelling about dying inside a townhome. Officers checked the area. Nothing further heard and no specific location identified; Juvenile Complaint – BLPD – Information shared about occupants in a vehicle that were throwing mayo packets. Investigation ongoing; Loud Music – Eagle Lk Rd N – An officer saw a party in a vehicle in a parking lot that was playing extremely loud music with explicit messages that made patrons appear uncomfortable. The officer spoke with the party about the music; Agency Assist – Monroe St – Request from Blaine PD to contact a vehicle owner; Attempt to Locate – Kilbirnie Rd – Report of an elderly party that may be driving around lost and confused. Officers located the party and contacted family; Check the Welfare – Englewood Dr – Request to check a party unable to be reached. Officers arrived and were canceled as the caller reached the party; Civil – Truman Dr – An officer performed a standby for property retrieval; Suspicious Activity – Minnesota Ave – Party pounding on an apartment window; Officers were called away when the call came out. They responded when able and the party was gone; Domestic – Henry Rd – Officers called to a verbal domestic. Mediated. Officers were called back. Parties agreed to separate.

Fri., Sept. 16, 2022: Suspicious Activity – Hiawatha Ave/Hill St – Report of parties shot with BBs by parties driving past in a vehicle. Information gathered. Investigation ongoing; Agency Assist – Hwy 10/Co Rd 50 – State Patrol requested assistance remove a deer from the roadway. An officer responded and removed the deer; Community Policing – High School – Officers stopped out at the football game; Found Property – Rose Dr – Property was turned over to an officer. It was brought to the PD for safekeeping if the owner comes to retrieve it; Civil – Edinburgh Way – Child custody concerns documented; Traffic Stop – Eagle Lk Rd/Grace Dr – Stop for a moving violation. A vehicle search was conducted. Controlled substance was found in the vehicle. Further analysis will be completed. Charging would come from the county attorney’s office; Parking Complaint – Lakeside Park – Semi parking in the lot. Driver contacted and discussed weight concerns; Fraud – Rose Dr – A business’ loss prevention department sent investigations a case for review and potential charging; Public Assist – Lake Ridge Dr – Accompanied a utility company employee to a residence; Civil – Minnesota Ave – Accompanied management to discuss lease violation; Security Alarm – Norwood Dr – Officers responded and found it was a false trip; Civil/Theft – Marketplace Dr – Report of a civil situation, possible property theft. An officer gathered information from the caller. The officer tried to contact the other half but did not have success. Investigation ongoing to determine a course of action; Lift Assist – Lakeshore Dr – Uninjured party assisted off the floor; Agency Assist – Martin/Eagle Lk Rd – An officer provided officer safety to a Sherburne Deputy investigating a DWI.

Thurs., Sept. 15, 2022: 911 Hang Up – Station St – Open line with yelling in the background. Officers were able to contact the phone owner through call backs. No problems reported; Check the Welfare – Hwy 10/Co Rd 43 – An upset juvenile exited a vehicle at an intersection. Officers contacted the juvenile by phone and mediated the situation with their parent; Found Property – Henry Rd – Keys were turned in to management. An officer responded and assisted locating the vehicle owner; Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10/Co Rd 15 – Vehicle all over the road. An officer near the registered owner’s address watched for the vehicle but it did not drive to the residence; Missing Person – Minnesota Ave – A juvenile did not ride the bus and was not picked up by their parent. Officers checked the school grounds and located the juvenile at a sports game. Parents updated and responded to pick up the juvenile; Crash – Glenwood/Eagle Lk Rd – Property damage crash. Investigation conducted; Check the Welfare – Pacific Cir – Request to check a residence as the occupants were not seen in a while. Residence appeared to be cleaned out; 911 Hang Up – Trillium Ln – Open line with baby crying. A party eventually came to the phone and advised it was a child that dialed, and phone was connected through Bluetooth device. No problems; Harassment – Forest/Eagle Lk Rd – Report of vehicle that appeared to follow party when they walk. Information gathered.

Wed., Sept. 14, 2022: Suspicious Vehicle – Eagle Lk Rd/Providence – Unoccupied commercial vehicle with doors open, and no one around. Officers responded and located the driver. Doors were left open accidentally. No other problems; Disturbance – Henry Rd – Yelling inside a residence. An officer contacted the resident. The officer was told there were no problems or assistance needed; Traffic Complaint – Hill St – Vehicle did burnouts in the street that caused marks. Driver refused to answer the door. Investigation ongoing; Civil – Lake St S – Questions about receiving property after a divorce; Fraud – Katrina Ln – Caller clicked on an email link that said it was a Microsoft IT person wanting to help with their computer. The caller’s computer became disabled. The caller was told money would need to be paid to unlock it; Assault – Co Rd 43 – Follow up questions about an assault that occurred during summer; Found Property – Lake St S – Abandoned bicycle reported. Brought to PD; Juvenile Complaint – Meadow Ln – Unwanted juveniles playing on property; Fraud – Euclid Ave – Personal information given out in Amazon scam. Report taken; Lift Assist – Minnesota Ave – Uninjured party assisted up; Theft – Mitchell Rd – Report taken; Agency Assist – Lake St N – Officers assisted Sherburne County on a search warrant; Suspicious Activity – Jefferson Blvd – Caller reported he was kidnapped and being held at gunpoint at a local business, in a described vehicle. Officers responded to the area and the business was vacant. Officers checked the area the phone signal came from. There was no vehicle matching that description. Officers contacted the occupants in the residence and there were no issues. The caller was likely attempting to commit a swatting event.

Tues., Sept. 13, 2022: Crash - Eagle Lk Rd/Minnesota Ave – Property damage crash. Investigation conducted; Agency Assist – Julie Way – Officer requested to obtain a PBT for a party on probation; Misc Officer – Station St – Officer requested to standby at a bus drop off location due to a recent incident that occurred. Officers assisted; Order Violation – Blanding Ct – Officer took a report and investigated an order violation. Report sent to county attorney’s office for review; Found Animal – Jefferson Blvd – An officer retrieved a found dog. The dog was brought to the Monticello shelter as it was not claimed.

Mon., Sept. 12, 2022: Check the Welfare – Co Rd 43 – Party used public transportation to get to Big Lake from St Cloud. Party was now stuck in Big Lake and did not have means to get to St Cloud. Party was assisted in getting to St Cloud; Public Assist – Minnesota Ave – Officer requested to give a juvenile a ride home from school. Juvenile assisted in getting home safe; Parking Complaint – Maple Ln – Report of vehicles in violation of ordinance. Owner spoken with about ordinances; Civil – Phyllis St – Questions about tenants; Stop Arm Violation – Lena Trl – Report taken. Unable to follow up due to lack of information but will stay aware of possible problem area; Order Violation – Jefferson Blvd – Report and investigation of an order violation. Requested Inver Grove Heights attempt to pick up the party for the violation; Civil – Trillium Ln – Issues over a company vehicle not being returned; Vehicle Fire – Rose Dr – Report of a vehicle fire. Officers arrived and found it was an overheating vehicle, not on fire.
