Sunday, August 21, 2022 Suspicious Vehicle – Lake St N – Request to check an occupied, running vehicle with parties inside for several hours. An officer checked; Suspicious Vehicle – Putnam Ave – An officer checked a storage unit that had a motorcycle parked out front. Party contacted and ID said they were the owner; Loud Noise – Monroe/Polk – Anonymous complaint of loud music all day. Officer checked. Nothing observed; Domestic – Henry Rd – Report of parties arguing loudly. Officer contacted. Verbal only; Misc Officer – BLPD – Questions about report adult child missing; Suspicious Vehicle – Truman Dr – Request to check a vehicle parked with a flat tire. Checked. Owner’s parent contacted. Advised it would be moved; Parking Complaint – Lakeside Park – A person was parked where they should not be. Party spoken with; Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10 from Becker – Vehicle with trailer all over the road. An officer watched for the vehicle, but it did not pass the officer; Agency Assist – Becker – Officers assisted with a suspicious party inside a business wearing a winter jacket, an orange cone on their head, and carrying a knife in their hand. Party was found to have a warrant. Assisted Becker officer arrest the party; Suspicious Activity – 177th St – Checked a party and vehicle at a closed business; Agency Assist – 191st Ave, SC – Responded to a security alarm with a Deputy; Agency Assist – Becker – An officer assisted with perimeter during a building search of a possibly burglary; Agency Assist – Hwy 10/Industrial Dr – Provided officer safety for State Patrol during a DWI investigation from a traffic stop.

Saturday, August 20, 2022 Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 10/Co Rd 17 – An officer checked a vehicle with flashers on. Contacted the owner. There were mechanical issues, and it would be moved; Suspicious Vehicle – Lake St N – Party asleep in a vehicle in a parking lot. Party contacted. Had permission to be there; Public Assist – Hwy 10/Lakeshore – An officer provided emergency lights while a motorist worked on a problem with their U-Haul; Trespass – Corinne Dr – Officers called to assist with adult son that refused to leave a residence. Officers de-escalated, investigated, and assisted the party in leaving; Civil – Harrison Dr – Officers requested for a standby for property removal; Found Animal – Powell Cir – Found dog. Children playing identified the owner’s residence. Officers contacted the owner, and the dog was returned; Community Policing – McPete’s – Officers attended the Big Lake Block Party event; Traffic Stop – Hwy 10/Lakeshore – Stopped for equipment and registration violation. Driver did not have a license. Citation issued; Dog Bite – Loon Dr – Report of a bite. Investigation conducted.

Friday, August 19, 2022 Traffic Complaint – BLPD – Two parties in a road rage incident came to the BLPD. Officers responded to gather information and mediate before State Patrol arrived, as the incident occurred on the Hwy; Parking Complaint – Lake St N – Requested officer check a vehicle parked on the side of the road near a curve. Officer checked the vehicle; Warrant Arrest – Forest Rd – Officers received information about the location of a party with a warrant. Officers contacted party and arrested. Party was transferred to the custody of Wright County Sheriff’s Office and booked for their warrant; Hit and Run – Ormsbee St – An officer was called to investigate a hit and run of two vehicles parked on the side of the road overnight. Suspect vehicle parts left at the scene. Investigation ongoing; Agency Assist – Garden Grove Rd, SC – Assisted Sherburne County on a 911 Hang Up. No problems.

Thursday, August 18, 2022 Harassment – BLPD – Walk-in report of harassment. Report taken; Civil – BLPD – Questions about having a private investigator following them; Suspicious Vehicle – Minnesota Ave – Requested an officer check a vehicle in a parking lot. Contacted. No problems; Misc Officer – BLPD – Caller had questions about tuning a racecar in the city limits. The officer discussed the noise ordinance with the caller; Civil – Grace Dr – Caller asked about retrieving property; Suspicious Activity – Independence Dr – Report of knocking on front door for 10 minutes. Officers checked the area but did not locate anyone.

Wednesday, August 17, 2022 Domestic – Eagle Lk Rd S – Officers called to mediate a family disturbance; Civil – BLPD – Walk-in report of a civil agreement made in Monticello. Referred to Wright County Sheriff’s Office; Drone Assist – 172nd/Hwy 10 – BLPD Drone was launched for an aerial search after a suspect fled from police in a stolen vehicle, then ran away from the vehicle; Fraud – Park Ave – Report of a missing person that may be involved in a fraud. An officer gathered information about the missing person. Reporting party heard back from the missing person that they were okay; Agency Assist – Hwy 10/Eagle Lk Rd – A vehicle was stolen from St Cloud. A Becker officer located the vehicle. A pursuit occurred. The driver got out and ran near Hwy 10/172nd St. Officers setup a perimeter to find the driver. State Patrol helicopter responded. A K9 responded to search. The driver was not located. The perimeter was broken down. A short time later, Dispatch received a call of a suspicious person matching the description. Officers responded and looked for the party who went into woods. Sherburne and Big Lake drones were deployed to search. A K9 was requested from Rogers PD. The suspect was located and taken into custody; Civil – William St – Questions about prior tenants’ mail; Civil – Pleasant Ave – Questions about damage to rental property by renters; Check Welfare – Station St – Request a check of minors at a residence; Loud Noise – Mitchell Rd – Complaint of loud music. Officer spoke to resident; Loud Noise – Mitchell Rd – Concerns over neighbor’s frequent loud noise; Found Property – Lake St N – Property turned over to an officer; Traffic Stop/Drugs – Hwy 10/Co Rd 11 – Stopped for moving violations. Vehicle searched. Controlled substance located. Party arrested and booked into Sherburne Jail.

Tuesday, August 16, 2022 Lost Property – Lakeside Park – Report of item lost near the boat launch; Order Violation – Ormsbee St – Report of an order violation; Lift Assist – Lake View Ln – Assisted an elderly person off the floor; Agency Assist – Hwy 10/Co Rd 43 – Assisted State Patrol on a two-vehicle crash in the intersection; Dog Call – Houghton Dr – Dogs barking at people outside; Domestic – Pond View Cir – Report of an assault. Officers investigated. Mediated and assisted parties separate; Open Door – Minnesota Ave – Officers found a business door unlocked. Checked the business. No problems found.

Monday, August 15, 2022 Suspicious Vehicle – Park Ave – Officer requested to check a vehicle parked in front of caller’ residence. Unoccupied. No problems found; Misc Officer – Aberdeen Way – Request an officer speak to a parent about using child safety devices. Party contacted and spoken with; Agency Assist – Ormsbee St – Wright County requested an address checked for a party wanted for domestic assault in Monticello; Suspicious Activity – Station St – Concern over the smell of marijuana when on patio; Suspicious Activity – Minnesota Ave – A parked vehicle was entered by someone that drove up and then left after entering the vehicle. Owner contacted. Person was known; Parking Complaint – Donna Ct/Forest Rd – Vehicle caused congestion where it was frequently parked. Contacted owner about the concern; Domestic – Truman Dr – Call for officers to respond. Officer investigated and mediated.
