Sun., June 26, 2022: Edinburgh Way – Domestic – Officer called to document a family disturbance; 204th Ave – Suspicious Person – Officers called for a person from Chicago that was at a residence to meet someone in person they met online. The person that came to Big Lake found out the person presented online was not a true identity; Spud Fest Fairground – Found Property – Several items in lost and found from event; Minnesota Ave – Parking Complaint – Parking citations issued for violations; Spud Fest Fairground – Assault – Officer received an assault report and investigated; Blackduck Ln – Domestic – Officers mediated a family disturbance; Hwy 10/Phyllis – Agency Assist – Officer saw a vehicle from a gas drive-off that just occurred in Becker. Vehicle was stopped. The driver had a revoked license status and was cited. A Deputy came to the location to handle the drive-off. (Hours later, it was found out the vehicle was stolen but had not yet been reported.); Hill St – Hit and Run – A vehicle went off the roadway, ran over a garden, struck a tree, and left. Investigation ongoing.

Sat., June 25, 2022: Spud Fest Fairground – Fight – Officers investigated a fight between to parties; Lake Ridge Dr – Agency Assist – Probations requested Officers check a party. Party was found to be in violation. Probations issued an arrest order. Party was arrested and booked into Sherburne Jail; Kingsbarn Alcove – Fireworks Complaint – Officer investigated a complaint; Spud Fest Fairground – Fight – Officers responded to a report of two fighting. Officers broke up the fight and detained both for investigation; Spud Fest Fairground – Disturbance – Report of two causing problems. Unable to locate; Lake St N – Harassment – Harassing situation from a vehicle. Unable to locate vehicle; Spud Fest Fairground – Suspicious Activity – Juveniles reported they were being followed. Investigation found there were no issues; Spud Fest Fairground – Fight – Officers advised of a fight after the fact. Parties already separated. No desire for medical attention or charges; Norwood Ln – Disturbance – Officers called to document a disturbance that occurred in public; Minnesota Ave – Parking Complaint – Parking citations issued for violations; Spud Fest Fairground – Juvenile Complaint – Juvenile warned about harassing workers; Spud Fes Fairground – Found Person – Juvenile found. Officers located parents; Traverse Ln – Vandalism – House egged. Investigation ongoing; Corrinne Dr – Security Alarm – Officers responded and arrived as they were canceled; Eagle Lk Rd N – Assault – Officers called to investigate an assault. Investigation ongoing; Hwy 10/Cty 81 – Traffic Complaint – Officers located and followed a vehicle for conduct.

Fri., June 24, 2022: Station St – Check Welfare – Officers requested to check on a party; Spud Fest Fairground – Disturbance – Party inside fireworks area. Officers called; Lake St/Pleasant Ave – Public Assist – Officer provided lights for a broken-down vehicle; Inverness Way – Harassment – Social media blackmail for money from unknown person concerning a clothing-less photo shared through Snapchat; Kasota St – Civil – Civil questions over property; Station St – Fire Alarm – Smoke alarm sounding in apartment. Oven on clean setting; Hwy 10/168th St – Public Assist – Officer called for a juvenile rollerblading on the side of Hwy 10. The officer contacted family and transported the juvenile to a safe location to meet a family member; Softball Fields off Cty 43 – Victory – BLPD won the softball game against BLFD. Go GUNS!; Cty Rd 43 – Suspicious Person – Report of shirtless party yelling and screaming. Officer spoke to two parties not from the area; Pleasant Ave – Civil – Questions about the rights of renters and landlords; Lakeside Park – Vandalism – New graffiti at the skatepark. Investigation ongoing; Lakeside Park – Vandalism – Women’s bathroom sink had sand poured down the drain required extensive plumbing to clear the drain. Investigation ongoing; Lake St N – Funeral Escort- Officers assisted with traffic control for a funeral procession; 177th St – Security Alarm – Officers responded and found door unlocked. Contacted keyholder and checked interior while Sherburne Deputies were on perimeter. No issues found inside.

Thurs., June 23, 2022: Martin Ave – Public Assist – Four juveniles stranded in BL after Spud Fest. Officers assisted contacting parents and transported to the PD for a safe location to wait; 205th/172nd – Accident with Animal – Car struck a deer. Officer documented and assisted occupants until towed; Hwy 10/Lake St – Agency Assist – Officers assisted State Patrol on a property damage crash. A vehicle drove over several signs in the median of Hwy 10, causing damage to the vehicle and signs; Spud Fest Fairground – Suspicious Activity – Report of vehicle occupants that fired an airsoft gun at people while driving through a parking lot. Officers checked the area; Leighton Dr – Civil – Questions about possession of a pet after a break-up; Lake St S – Security Alarm – Officers contacted a party identified as an employee; Lake St S/Monroe – Traffic Stop – Stop for equipment and license violation. Vehicle was searched. Drugs and paraphernalia were located and seized. Citations were issued; 204th Ave – Civil – Questions about a private sale of property; Hennepin Ave – Agency Assist – Request for officer to check the area for a vehicle belonging to a person that missed an appointment; Minnesota Ave – 911 Hang Up – Officers checked building. No issues found; Delta St – 911 Hang Up – 911 Call with an open line. Child playing with the phone; Waseca St – Lift Assist – Officer and BLFD assisted move a party; Highline Park – Suspicious Vehicle – Officer checked a vehicle in the park after hours. Parties were spoken too, told to dress and move along; BLPD – Agency Assist – Officer assisted Becker PD with our DWI breath test machine.

Wed., June 22, 2022: Cty Rd 5/Cty 75 – Agency Assist – Officers assisted Deputies on a vehicle that crashed into a tree. They provided traffic control. Driver was arrested for DWI; 203rd Ave – Agency Assist – Officers assisted a Deputy on a family disturbance; Sanford Select Acres Park – Suspicious Vehicle – Caller reported two people in a vehicle at the park after hours. Officers contacted the occupants and advised to move along; Lakeside Park – Traffic Complaint – Vehicles driving recklessly. Officers contacted juveniles near vehicles; Martin Ave – Dog Call – Officers called for a dog left in a hot vehicle. Spoke to owner; Martin Ave – Crash – Report of a crash that occurred several days earlier. Investigation conducted to contact other driver; Maple Ln – Check Welfare – Officer called to check on a child outside unattended. Upon arrival, the child was not where the caller described; Monroe St – Property Damage – Damage to vehicle and window. Investigation ongoing; Aberdeen Way – Fraud – Report taken on a fraudulent debt charge; Mitchell Rd – Juvenile Complaint – Officer helped look for a juvenile that walked away; Corrinne Dr – Civil – Questions about custody during separation; Station St – Harassment – Incident documented; Minnesota Ave – Fraud – Fraud report taken for Publisher’s Clearing House scam; Cty Rd 43 – Domestic – Officers mediated a domestic disturbance at a business.

Tues., June 21, 2022: Lakeshore Dr – Suspicious Vehicle – Officer contacted occupants of a vehicle in the park after hours. Advised and sent on their way; Hwy 10/Euclid Ave – Public Assist – Officer provided emergency lights for a broken-down vehicle until assistance came; Polk St – Disturbance – Report of five fighting in the street. Officers arrived and found the arguing was between two parties that were no longer present; Lake St N – Dog Call – Found dog brought to PD. Reunited with owner; Forest Rd – Extra Patrol – Citizen requested extra patrol of residence for a situation; Mitchell Rd – Domestic – Officers mediated a family disturbance; 205th Ave – Suspicious Person – Party walking in the ditch wearing a towel. Party transported to a medical facility; Lake Ave/Lakeshore Dr – Road Hazard – Large tree branch split and blocked the road. Public Works called for response and clearing; 177th St – Drone Deployment – Drone used to search fields, swamp, and trees for the driver of a vehicle left running for hours; 177th St – Suspicious Vehicle – Vehicle left running for hours with no one around. Concerning objects found in vehicle. Drone and 4-wheeler used to search surrounding area. (Party was later found walking down 205th wearing a towel); Station St – Trespass – Report of juveniles jumping pool fence at night; Jefferson Blvd – Check Welfare – Intoxicated party threatened employees at a business. Checked the area but Officers were unable to locate the party; Cty Rd 43 – Security Alarm – Officers responded. Employee trip; Eagle Lk Rd/Minnesota – Crash – Two vehicle crash blocking. Investigation conducted; Cty Rd 43 – Suspicious Vehicle – Business called on a vehicle left in the parking lot. Contacted owner who advised it broke down and would be moved; Independence Dr – Disturbance – Yelling and hand gestures toward others. Officers mediated and warned about disturbing conduct; Independence Dr – Lift Assist – Officers assisted a party that slid to the floor and could not get up.

Mon., June 20, 2022: Humboldt Dr – Security Alarm – Officers responded and found an open door. Checked building. No problems located; Pleasant Ave – Shooting Complaint – Two shots heard a half hour prior. Officers checked the area but did not find or hear anything; Station St – Suspicious Vehicle – Officer requested to check an occupied vehicle in the parking lot. Vehicle was gone when the Officer arrived; Hwy 25/Cty 14 – Traffic Complaint – Call of possible impaired driver. Traffic stop and DWI investigation conducted; Engle Wood Dr – Dog Call – Complaint of the care of a dog. Officer checked the dog; 205th Ave – Agency Assist – Officer assisted Deputies on a domestic disturbance; 198th Ave – Trespass – Officer called to have parties leave property; Aberdeen Way – Assault – Officers investigated an assault. Citations issued; 198th Ave – Theft – Report taken. Evidence collected. Investigation ongoing.
