  • Agency Assist – BLPD – Assisted Becker PD with the breath test for a DWI arrest.

  • Agency Assist – Hwy 10 – Watched for a wrong way driver reported to State Patrol.

  • Public Assist – Co Rd 81/202nd Ave – Checked vehicle with hazards on.
  • Agency Assist – 198th Ave – Assisted deputy on a report of party cutting locks off storage units. Contacted party and ID as an employee. 
  • Traffic Complaint – Eagle Lk Rd N – Contacted driver.

  • CO Alarm – Loon Loop – Expired detectors in the residence. FD responded. 
  • Community Policing – Minnesota Ave – An officer visited a teacher’s classroom.
  • Traffic Complaint – Minnesota Ave – Vehicles entering Independence school blocking driveways of apartment buildings.

  • Theft – Eagle Lk Rd N – Officer took a report from a business and began investigation. 
  • Agency Assist – Minnesota Ave – Assisted with a student that left without permission.

Tuesday, December 19, 2023

  • Disturbance – Jefferson Blvd – Party refusing to leave the drive thru.
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 15 Railroad Crossing – Assisted a deputy check the area for a sparking transformer so the deputy could respond to an emergency call. 
  • Fraud – Pond View Ln – Phone call from a person with an accent claiming to be from the IRS that wanted to confirm personal information. Party did not provide information. Later was contacted by their bank for account fraud that occurred in South Carolina. 

Monday, December 18, 2023

  • Hit and Run – Minnesota Ave/Co Rd 43 – Party ran into back of vehicle and left scene without making contact. Other driver called in the following day.
