  • Fire – Nedd St – Security camera device started on fire. BLPD responded with FD. Fire was out on arrival. 
  • Traffic Complaint – Lakeside Park – Vehicle doing donuts in the lot. Vehicle was gone when officer arrived. 
  • Agency Assist – 1st Street in Becker – Responded to assist Becker PD with a call of parties fighting in front of a business.  
  • Traffic Complaint – Ormsbee St/Providence – Vehicle located, and driver contacted.

Saturday, August 12, 2023

  • Suspicious Person – Sterling Dr – Report of an unknown party sitting on the caller’s front step with their charger plugged into the outside outlet. Party contacted by an officer. The party was transported to the address by an Uber. The party intended to meet a person they met online. 
  • Disturbance – Lakeside Park – Report of a patron being rude to park employees and other park users.
  • Fraud – Rose Dr – A juvenile met a party online and began a relationship. The “other juvenile” asked for money to be sent through the numbers on a gift card. An officer was called because the juvenile did not feel the situation was completely legit. 
  • Loud Noise – Sanford Ave – Request to enforce noise ordinance. Parties spoken with.

Friday, August 11, 2023

  • Crimes Against Justice – Lake St N – A patrolling officer saw the robbery suspect from the night before. The suspect fled on foot against the officer’s commands to stop. Surrounding agencies were requested to setup a perimeter. A K9 and drone also assisted. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
  • Agency Assist – 198th Ave – Assisted deputy with a theft from a vehicle. 
  • Hit and Run – Martin Ave – Parked vehicle struck. Report taken. Investigation ongoing. 
  • Security Alarm – Harrison Dr- Responded and checked. No problems found.
  • Agency Assist – 212th Ave – An officer handled a medical call for a deputy. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Hwy 10/Co Rd 81 – Juvenile riding a bike on the highway. Located and returned juvenile home. 

Thursday, August 10, 2023

  • Agency Assist – 218th Ave – Assisted deputy with a physical domestic call. 
  • Domestic – Blanding Ct – Report that a party poured gas in the basement of a residence after an argument. Officers investigated and found a domestic assault occurred, as well as other crimes. Party located, arrested, and booked into Sherburne Jail. 
  • Drone – Maple Ln/Leighton Dr – Drone launched to look for armed robbery suspect who fled on foot. 
  • Robbery – Lakeside Park – A juvenile robbed another juvenile while holding a knife. Juvenile suspect fled on foot after the theft. Outside agencies were requested to create a perimeter and search for the suspect. Suspect was not located. Suspect was the runaway juvenile reported earlier in the week.
  • Security Alarm – Harrison Dr – Responded. No problems found. 
  • Agency Assist – Assisted BL Public Works while inspecting a water connection complaint.

  • Disturbance – Birch Ave – Report of parties arguing. One of the parties involved had multiple warrants and was unlocatable by officers when they arrived.
  • Suspicious Activity – 198th Ave – Report that vehicle was tampered with while parked.

Tuesday, August 8, 2023

  • Lift Assist – Eagle Lake Rd N – Assisted an uninjured person from the floor.
  • Agency Assist – 211th Ave/Co Rd 43 – Assisted deputy with a rollover crash with injury and the driver trapped. BL officer was first on scene to begin providing aid. 
  • Disturbance – Lakeside Park – Report of vehicles revving engines in the lot. No issues occurring on arrival. 
  • Disturbance – Birch Ave – Complaint of loud ATV noises. Owner contacted.
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 14 – Assisted Wright County Deputy with a domestic that occurred in Monticello, but the parties continued driving across the river.
  • Lift Assist – Lakeshore Dr – Assisted an uninjured party from the floor.
  • Suspicious Person – Karen Ln – Checked an occupied vehicle parked in an odd location. Parties contacted. 

Monday, August 7, 2023

  • Shooting Complaint – Highline/Tartan – Report of juvenile in the bed of a pickup shooting at signs with a long gun. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. 
  • ATV Complaint – Birch Ave – Juveniles riding ATVs in their yard. Discussed city ordinance. 
  • Agency Assist – Big Lake Community Room – Officers assisted US Capitol Police with security during a townhall event. 
  • Animal Complaint – Junegrass Dr – Rooster crowing. Ordinance discussed with owner. 
  • Vandalism – Eagle Lake Rd N – House egged. 
  • Property Damage – Henry Rd – Juvenile broke into a vehicle, which caused damage, and stole items. Owner is working with parent to resolve the situation. 
  • Runaway – BLPD – Report taken for a juvenile runaway.
