- Fraud – Online dog purchase scam. Prepayment made for a puppy. While enroute to meet the seller, the buyer received a wild story about a family emergency. When the buyer questioned the story they were blocked from communication.
- Security Alarm – Rose Dr – Business alarm. Employee trip.
- Theft – Chestnut Cir – Theft of fishing equipment. Investigation ongoing.
- Missing Person – Maple Ln – Report of an intoxicated person that walked away. An officer found the person on the beach at Lakeside Park. Returned home.
- Public Assist – Hwy 10/Lakeshore – Officer checked on a vehicle pulled over. Driver was picking up intoxicated party walking along the roadway.

- Agency Assist – BLPD – Officers were called to assist State Patrol with an uncooperative subject during the breath testing process at the PD.
- Hit and Run – Lake St S – Vehicle was struck while parked at a local business. Investigation ongoing.
- Public Assist – Shady Ln – Residents asked for assistance with a firearm.
- Traffic Stop – Hwy 10/Co Rd 11 – Vehicle stopped for moving violation and prior contact providing information that driver was under the influence. DUI investigation conducted. Driver arrested. Warrant obtained for a blood test. Party booked into Sherburne Jail.
- Disturbance – Jefferson Blvd – Party yelling inside a business. Contacted. Investigated party’s explanation of events.
- Community Policing Activity – Lakeside Park – Graniteman Triathlon. Officers assisted with traffic control at intersections in the city.
- Agency Assist – Hwy 10/Lake St S – Assisted a Becker Officer on a DWI investigation.

- Assault – Mitchell Ridge Dr – Past action assault report taken. Investigating.
- Property Damage – Monroe St – Windshield damaged overnight while parked.
- Fraud – Julie Way – Online dog sale scam. Prepayment deposit was made and communication ended; as well as being blocked.
- Agency Assist – Maple Lane – Assisted Sherburne County Deputies serve a search warrant.
- Agency Assist – 204th Ave – Assisted deputies attempting to contact a person.

- Suspicious Vehicle – Mount Curve/Hudson – A patrolling night officer came across a vehicle with doors open and person standing near it. Party contacted and verified to be known by the owner.
- Theft – Pleasant Ave – Theft of bicycles. Report taken. Investigating.
- Fraud – Jefferson Blvd – Fraudulent check cashed.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Park Ave – Request to check an occupied vehicle. Party contacted.
- Fire – Lake St N – Vehicle on fire. Responded and used extinguisher on fire. BLFD arrived.
- Fraud – Lake St S – Victim received a phone call that something was wrong with their Discover card. Provided card # and pin. Also provided # and pin of Visa card.
- Parking Complaint – Sanford Ave – Semi parked on the street. Warned for commercial vehicle parked on the road when not in operation.
- Community Policing Activity – City Wide – Officers stopped out at neighborhood parties for Night to Unite.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Lakeside Park – Contacted occupants of a vehicle parked after hours. Odor of marijuana smelled from passenger compartment. Vehicle search conducted for open container. Marijuana located. Parties were under 21 so they also could not possess.
Wednesday, August 2, 2023
- Suspicious Person – Delta/Sandbar – Report of people walking around a construction vehicle. Checked. Received a second call later. Checked and searched area with drone. No one located.
- Lost Property – Lakeside Park – Report taken for lost phone.
- Suspicious Activity – Rose Dr – Vehicle occupants asking for money and trying to sell gold rings for cash. Vehicle gone on officers’ arrival.
- Dog Bite – Birch Ave – Report submitted electronically. Investigation begun.
- Hit and Run – Eagle Lk Rd/Hiawatha Ave – Officer gathered information and worked to contact the suspect vehicle owner and obtain information on the driver that left after the crash.
- Security Alarm – 198th Ave – Business alarm. Alarm company called back to cancel response.
- Property Damage – Powell St – House egged, and rock thrown through window. Investigating.

- Suspicious Person – Eagle Lk Rd N – Report of party urinating near dumpster. Party contacted.
- Trespass – Jefferson Blvd – Report of trespassed person on property. Party contacted.
- Several dog complaints received throughout the day.
Monday, July 31, 2023
- Suspicious Person – Hwy 10/Lakeshore Dr – Contacted a bicyclist riding in the road on the Highway. Discussed unsafe behavior.
- Agency Assist – Elk River – Assisted ERPD on perimeter for a subject wanted for a crime in the metro.
- Juvenile Complaint – Shore Acres Dr – Assisted with unwanted juveniles and getting them home safely.
- Traffic Complaint – Lakeside Park – Vehicles revving engines and driving all over the lot. Vehicle were gone when officers arrived.
- Agency Assist – Co Rd 11/157th St – Crash with injuries. FD for extrication. Air care responded to transport an occupant. Assisted with medical and traffic control.
- Theft – Jefferson Blvd – Shoplifting from a local small business. Investigating.
- Security Alarm – Harrison Dr – Residential security alarm. No problems found.
- Suspicious Person – Co Rd 43 – Party dancing in the parking lot. Party left prior to officer arriving. Later contacted in Elk River and arrested for driving under the influence.
- Property Damage – Powell St – Paint splashed onto parked vehicles and driveway. Investigating.
- Security Alarm – Rose Dr – Business alarm. False alarm.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Lake Ridge/Lake View – A patrolling officer found an unattended motorcycle parked at the intersection. Investigated to determine if it was stolen. Friend of owner contacted and stated it was having mechanical issues.
- Suspicious Vehicle – Pond View Ln – Patrolling officer found a vehicle’s trunk open. Contacted owner. No problems, just forgot to close it.
- Misc Officer – Rose Dr – Patrolling officer came across a juvenile out after curfew. Parent contacted and juvenile was returned to residence. Discussed Big Lake’s curfew.
