  • Ordinance Violation – Julie Way – An officer communicated with residents about an ordinance violation reported to the city. 
  • Suspicious Person – Lakeside Park – Report of an elderly person taking pictures of women and children playing. Checked the area and did not locate. Other patrons did not see a problem. The caller did not answer or call the officer back. 
  • 911 Hang Up – Responded. Advised it was a misdial.

  • Suspicious Activity – Eagle Lk Rd N – Report of several intoxicated people in a parking lot by a described vehicle. One occupant went to the bathroom in the parking lot. Vehicle located and stopped. DWI investigation conducted on the driver. Driver was arrested, tested, and booked into the Sherburne Co. Jail. 
  • Property Damage – Powell St – Driveway and vehicles had paint splattered. Investigation ongoing. 
  • Security Alarm – Co Rd 43 – Responded. Maintenance in progress. No problems. 
  • Fire – Wall St – Tree branch on a powerline. Responded with FD. 
  • Juvenile Runaway – Henry Rd – Juvenile reported as a runaway. Also found to have stolen items from two businesses in Big Lake. Juvenile located and arrested for runaway. Cited for runaway and theft as requested by the businesses. Booked into juvenile placement. 
  • Crash – Highland Trl – Lone motorcycle crashed, causing damage to the roadway. Investigation ongoing as operator’s story did not match witness statements. 
  • Agency Assist – 109th St SE – Assisted deputies on a domestic call.

  • 911 Hang Up – Henry Rd – Responded. Learned it was an argument between a couple.
  • Lost Animal – Polk St – Lost cat reported. 
  • Suspicious Person – Eagle Lk Rd N – Report of a patron’s behavior in a business that made the caller uncomfortable. Spoke with the business about the complaint. 

Thursday, July 27, 2023

  • 911 Hang Up – Station St – Emergency call box. Officers responded and checked. No problems found. 
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 11 – Assisted deputies on a semi crash. 
  • Dog Complaint – Drake Cir – Dog at large trying to get to neighbor’s animals. Returned to owner who was cited. 
  • Crash – Eagle Lk Rd/Glenwood Ave – Property damage crash. Investigated. Tow was called.
  • Fraud – Station St – Party began an online relationship with someone from Georgia living in Dubai. Party sent money by way of bitcoin. Was asked to purchase a Rolex watch and mail it so the other person could sell it to get money to fly back to the states to be together. 
  • Agency Assist – Henry Rd – Accompanied Wright Co. HHS during a house visit.
  • Trespass – Rose Dr – Party trespassed from a business. An officer assisted in the process. 
  • Vandalism – Euclid Ave – Mailbox damaged.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 10/Co Rd 81 – Vehicle on the side of the road with front end damage, airbags deployed, and no one around. The owner was contact and said their child struck a deer and the vehicle was inoperable. It would be towed the following day.

  • Security Alarm – Karen Ln – Responded and checked. No issues found.
  • Order Violation – Minnesota Ave – Possible order violation. Investigating.
  • Dog Complaint – Englewood Dr – Concern for dogs outside. Checked and spoke with owner about concern. Dogs had water and shade from the sun.
  • Disturbance – Rose Dr – Customer causing problems in the parking lot. Contacted. Assisted with transportation to a safe location. 
  • Parking Complaint – Hill St – Report of a vehicle parked in a no parking zone.
  • Agency Assist – Aberdeen Way – Assisted Wright Co. deputy drop off a party that was causing problems at a business in Monticello. 
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Jefferson Blvd – Contacted an asleep occupant of a vehicle parked at a closed business.

  • Agency Assist – Hwy 10/168th St – Assisted State Patrol on a traffic stop with an uncooperative driver. 
  • Property Damage – Powell St – Vehicles and house egged. Investigation ongoing.
  • Agency Assist – Harrison Dr – Assisted Annandale PD obtain information for a resident. 
  • Dog Complaint – Sanford Ave – Checked for a dog without water or food. Unfounded. 
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 14/Co Rd 68 – Assisted a deputy on a call of two parties fighting.
  • Crash – Jefferson Blvd – Responded to an Apple watch collision alert. No problems found.
  • Theft – Traverse Ln – Report of the theft of a homemade trailer. Information obtained. 
  • Property Damage – Oak Ln – A/C unit damaged. 
  • Shooting Complaint – Mount Curve Ave – Possible gun shots. Officer saw aerial fireworks in the area just before the call came in. 

Monday, July 24, 2023

  • Fire Alarm – Marketplace Dr – Responded and checked building. No problems found. FD arrived. Alarm reset.
  • Found Property – BLPD – License plate turned in. Returned to the owner. 
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10/168th St – Checked area. Unable to locate.
  • Traffic Complaint – Jefferson Blvd – Located vehicle. Conduct observed. Vehicle stopped. DWI investigation conducted. Driver determined to not be impaired. 
  • Suspicious Person – Fern St – Complaint of party’s behavior in a business. Discussed options available if the party returned. 
  • Found Animal – Powell St – Found dog. Returned to owner.
  • Public Assist – Hwy 10/Co Rd 81 – Unoccupied vehicle in the median. Officer checked the area for the driver but could not locate.
