  • Assault – Harrison Dr – A party walking past a residence was approached by multiple dogs. There was a verbal exchange between the walker and dog owner that elevated to threats of violence toward the walker. The dog owner was cited for assault. 
  • Public Assist – Lake St S – Assisted a patron load a broken-down vehicle on a car trailer.
  • Dog Complaint – Harrison Dr – Barking dog complaint. 
  • Open Door – Lakeside Park – Checked a maintenance shed and notified Public Works.
  • Misc Officer – Lakeside Park – Assisted a patron retrieve a feral kitten from their engine.
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 25/Co Rd 14 – Report of young adults in a vehicle shot gunning beer while driving. Checked the area. Unable to locate. 

Saturday, July 8, 2023

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle – Lee St – A known party took the vehicle owner’s keys after an argument and left without permission. Vehicle recovered in Monticello by Wright County.
  • Assault – Lake St S – Investigated report of an assault. Party cited for misdemeanor assault. 
  • Burning Complaint – Lake St N – Report of burning trash. Unable to identify a violation. 
  • Suspicious Activity – Powell Cir N – Vehicle followed children home and took pictures of them from the road. Vehicle description provided. 
  • Agency Assist – Hwy 25/Co Rd 11 – Assisted State Patrol by providing emergency lights for a vehicle broken down on the Mississippi bridge. 
  • Crash – Rose Dr – Vehicle backed into another while parking. Driver walked away. Investigated and located driver. Information obtained. 
  • Public Assist – Hwy 10/Co Rd 81 – Assisted move a stalled vehicle from the roadway and providing emergency lights until a tow arrived. 
  • Agency Assist – Maple Ln – Attempted contact with a party for probations. Information gathered and shared with probations.
  • 911 Hang Up – Station St – Responded and checked. No problems found.

Friday, July 7, 2023

  • Agency Assist – Maple Ln – Requested to check a party for probations.
  • Traffic Stop – Jefferson Blvd – Stop for lane violation and too dark tint. Signs of impairment observed. DWI investigation conducted. Driver arrested. Warrant obtained for a fluid sample.
  • Agency Assist – Hwy 25/196th St – Assisted Wright Co Deputy on a traffic stop.
  • Traffic Complaint – Marketplace Dr – Delivery vehicle speeding. Unable to locate.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Lakeside Park – Juveniles playing with a lighter and sunscreen in the skatepark. Gone on arrival. 
  • Suspicious Person – Lakeside Park – A patrolling officer came across a party hanging off the end of the dock in the water. Party fell asleep and was okay.

  • Parking Complaint – Gunter Way – Checked a vehicle parked for a lengthy period.
  • Assault – Highland Trl – Report of an assault. Working on speaking with the caller.
  • Security Alarm – Jefferson Blvd – Secure. Checked inside with keyholder. 

Wednesday, July 5, 2023

  • Security Alarm – Jefferson Blvd – Was secure. Did a walk-through with keyholder. 
  • Conservation Call – Co Rd 43/Park Ave – Dispatched an injured deer.
  • Suspicious Activity – Pond View Dr – Party screaming behind a house. Checked on person who was okay.
  • Public Assist – Hwy 10/Co Rd 15 – Checked a party sitting next to the highway. Person was walking to St Cloud. Transported to a safe location in Big Lake. 
  • Found Dog – Grace Dr – Dog brought to PD. Picked up by owner. 
  • Open Door – Martin Ave – Unsecure door found during a business check. Business checked and secured.
  • Fight – Maple Ln – Group of people fighting in the street. Parties disbursed before officers arrived. A person present would not cooperate with providing information. No victims came forward to report anything.

  • Fire Alarm – Station St – Responded to elevator emergency. Button was pressed by a child.
  • Three Fireworks Complaints – City Wide – Checked on reported complaints.
  • Gas Leak – Brom Ln – Illness felt. Responded with FD. Nothing detected. Utility contacted.
  • Property Damage – Jefferson Blvd – Report of vehicle damaged in car wash. Documented.
  • Traffic Complaint – Lakeshore Dr – Vehicle speeding. Driver located after vehicle parked. 
  • Agency Assist – Lakeside Park – Assisted deputy on a possible impaired boater complaint.
  • Loud Noise – Lee St – Party advised on loud music complaint and city ordinance. 

Monday, July 3, 2023

  • Fireworks Complaint – Forest Rd – Parties contacted.
  • Fireworks Complaint – Bluff Rd/Mitchell Ridge – Parties contacted.
  • Domestic – Traverse Ln – Report that party was threated with a gun. Responded and investigated. Learned the party was never at the residence. Investigating for calling in a false report to illicit an emergency response. 
  • Agency Assist – Inverness Way – Assted Apple Valley PD on a reported stolen phone with GPS at the address. Phone received from resident. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Edinburgh Way – Parent reporting juvenile ran away from other parent’s house. Investigated and found the caller was likely intoxicated when permission was given to do a sleepover. 
  • Security Alarm – Humboldt Dr – Responded. Employee trip.
