  • Suspicious Person – Jefferson Blvd – Party acting intoxicated in a business. Contacted and provided transportation to a safe location.
  • Suspicious Person – Lakeside Park – Checked a party not making sense to the caller. 
  • Gas Leak – Jefferson Blvd – Responded with the FD to a fuel spill.
  • Suspicious Activity – Jefferson Blvd – Currency used to pay that had white powder on it. Tested for narcotics.
  • Property Damage – Jefferson Blvd – The sign for a business was damaged. Investigation ongoing.
  • Traffic Stop – Eagle Lk Rd/Minnesota Ave – Stop for no headlights. DWI investigation conducted. Driver arrested for DWI, tested, and booked into Sherburne Jail. 
  • Traffic Stop – Minnesota Ave – Vehicle stopped for rapid acceleration in a parking lot. Driver showed signs of impairment. A DWI investigation was conducted. The driver was arrested, tested, and booked into Sherburne Jail. 

Saturday, June 24, 2023

  • Disturbance – Spud Fest – Party tried to start a fight. Intercepted by officers. 
  • Loud Music – Truman/Gordon Ln – Loud music from a vehicle. Spoken with.
  • Dog Complaint – Rose Dr – Dog left in a parked car. Gone on arrival.
  • Suspicious Activity – Lakeview Ln – For sale sign disassembled, and footprints in a backyard.
  • Community Policing – Citywide – Officers assisted with the Lakes Run from Lakeside Park, letting the motorcycles on to Highway 10 from Tootsie’s, and traffic control for the Spud Fest parade.
  • Security Alarm – Martin Ave – Responded and checked business. No problems found. Alarm went off again an hour later. No problems found. 
  • Car vs Deer – Hwy 10/Co Rd 43 – Vehicle hit a deer carcass laying on the Highway. Deer removed from the roadway and incident documented for the driver.
  • Dog Complaint – Jefferson Blvd – Dog tied to a post in front of a business. Dog accompanied by owner on arrival.
  • Fraud – Park Ave – Party contacted by someone claiming to be from Amazon. Party was told there was a $900 purchase on their account that appeared to be fraud. Party was transferred to speak with the “FBI”. Party was told to purchase a Visa gift card for $900 to work through the refunding process. The card was not purchased. 
  • DWI – Minnesota Ave – Contact made with a vehicle driver for conduct in a parking lot. Signs of impairment. DWI investigation conducted. Party arrested for DWI, tested, and booked into the Sherburne Jail.

  • Loud Music – Crescent St – Stopped to observe. Only music heard was Spud Fest.
  • Fireworks Complaint – Pond View Ln/Mitchell Ridge Dr – Report of fireworks going off every few minutes. Checked the area. Unable to locate source. 
  • Assault – Spud Fest – Report of an assault. Investigated.
  • Fireworks Complaint – Inverness Way – Checked. Unable to locate source. 
  • Community Policing – Spud Fest – Police Department took another win against the Fire Department in the annual Guns vs Hoses Softball game. 
  • Fraud – Lake Ridge – Received a phone call that their grandchild was involved in an injury crash and was in jail in Minneapolis and needed bail money. They were instructed to retrieve a large amount of cash and not tell the bank it was for bail money. They suspected it may be a scam and called their grandchild, who was at work and not in jail.
  • Assault – Maple Ln – Report of an assault with threat of a firearm. Party located in a vehicle. High risk traffic stop conducted to safely remove the armed party from the vehicle. Party taken into custody and booked into Sherburne Jail. 
  • Agency Assist – 218th Ave – Assist County on a medical emergency.
  • Crash – Rose Dr – Two vehicles in a parking lot. Information gathered.
  • Stop Arm Violation – Eagle Lake Rd S/Fair Meadows – Report received of a violation from several days prior. 
  • Suspicious Activity – Sterling Dr – Caller receiving multiple guests the last month and a half looking to provide “company” but have the wrong address. 
  • Security Alarm – Lake St S – Responded. Set off by employee.
  • Suspicious Activity – Nedd St – Doorbell rung after midnight. Officers did not find anyone.
  • Harassment – Lake Ave – Threats made against child’s mother. Pick up request placed on party for harassment charges. Party located in Becker County and transported to Sherburne Jail.

  • Assault – Spud Fest – Report of a juvenile that made threats to assault someone and showed a picture with a gun. Juvenile located at the fair grounds and was in possession of a Replica Handgun (bb gun). Juvenile arrested on charges of terroristic threats and weapons violation.
  • Suspicious Person – Lake St S – Report of a person drunk or high at a business. Party left prior to officers’ arrival. 
  • Community Policing – Hwy 10 – A squad provided an escort to the Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run while two off duty officers participated in the run. 
  • Suspicious Person – Lake St S – Shirtless party trying to get into a building. Party acting under the influence. Directed home. 
  • Security Alarm – Humboldt Dr – Responded to alarm at a business. Accidental trip.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – River Oaks Park – Contacted occupied vehicle after hours.
  • Suspicious Person – Lake St S – Party walking down the middle of the road.

  • Loud Noise – Lake St N – Loud music. Unable to locate.
  • Traffic Stop – Hwy 25/Co Rd 17 – Stop for lane violation. Driver found to be Canceled-IPS. Odor of controlled substance. Vehicle search conducted. Driver arrested and booked into Sherburne Jail.
  • Public Assist – Highline/Lena Trl – Followed a vehicle with mechanical trouble closer to owner’s residence. 
  • Theft – Aberdeen Way – Theft of frequent flyer miles. Report taken.
  • Fraud – Norwood Dr – Scam through Venmo. Fake service email to setup a business account with payment options of the purchase of Amazon gift cards. 
  • Fire – Lena Trl/Kingsbarn Alcove – Mailboxes on fire. Fire put out. Possibly started by a cigarette thrown onto dry grass next to mailboxes. 
  • Agency Assist – Lake St S/Tarry Town Rd – Assisted Wright County Deputy on a traffic stop. 
  • Community Policing – Sanford Select Acres Park – Stopped by the ECFE event.
  • Property Damage – Hiawatha Ave – Report taken for damage to construction property.

  • Juvenile Complaint – Aberdeen Way – Mediated between juvenile and parents.
  • 911 Hang Up – Aberdeen Way – Contacted. Accidental dial.
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10 – Vehicle all over the road. Unable to locate vehicle.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Red Oak Dr – Concern for juveniles playing in the street. Concern shared with parent.
  • Theft – Jefferson Blvd – Item stolen from a business. Working to ID suspect. 
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 11 – Assisted County on a multiple vehicle injury crash. 
  • Animal Complaint – Minnesota Ave – Worked with FD to rescue ducklings in a storm drain.
  • Conservation Call – Houghton Dr – Severely injured deer from running into a fence.
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 11 – Assisted County on a domestic assault/weapons involved. Suspect was tased and taken into custody. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Ormsbee St/Lee St – Vehicle occupants yelled to a pedestrian not to run because they were going to kidnap her then drove off. Vehicle with juveniles located.

  • Car vs Deer – Hwy 10/Industrial – Deer ran into the side of a vehicle. Report taken. The deer ran off without leaving name or insurance info. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Grace Dr – Spoke to juveniles about threatening to harm each other.
  • Agency Assist – Hwy 10/Eagle Lk Rd – Assisted State Patrol with a property damage crash. One of the drivers was arrested for DWI. Assisted during the testing process.
  • Dumping – Golf St – Large item added to their dumpster without permission.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Lakeside Park – Juveniles at the boat launch being disrespectful.
  • Order Violation – Loon Dr – Report of possible court order violation.
  • Parking Complaint – Truman Dr – Vehicles warned for expired registration on the street. 
  • Lift Assist – Norwood Ln – Uninjured party assisted from the floor.
  • Agency Assist – BLPD – Assisted State Patrol with the breath testing machine at the PD.
