Sunday, May 28, 2023

  • Pick Up Order – Highland Trl – Contact was made with a party on probation that was prohibited from drinking alcohol. Probations was contacted and a pick up order written for the party’s arrest. The party was arrested and transported to meet a Wright County Deputy.
  • Agency Assist – Lakeside Park – Assisted Sherburne County Deputies with a watercraft crash on Big Lake. 
  • Agency Assist – Lupine Dr – Attempted to get a message to a resident for Elk River PD.
  • ATV Complaint – Edinburgh Way – Juveniles riding a side-by-side on the street. Unable to locate. 
  • Found Animal – Sterling Dr – Found dog turned over. Dog returned to owner.
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10/Co Rd 81 – Driver slumped over the steering wheel. Vehicle gone on arrival and unable to locate.
  • Disturbance – Hill St – Report of a disturbance at a residence. Officers made contact and found a party with a warrant. Party was arrested and booked into Sherburne Jail. 

Saturday, May 27, 2023

  • Noise Complaint – Monroe St – Advised group of noise ordinance.
  • DWI – Eagle Lk Rd/Washington – Traffic stop for speed. Signs of impairment and admitted to drinking. DWI investigation conducted. Arrested for DWI. Booked into Sherburne Jail. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Trillium Ln – Loud noise to front door. Shoeprint on door. Spoke with parents about a prior issue from school. 
  • Suspicious Activity – Jefferson Blvd – Juveniles causing problems at a business. 
  • Found Bicycle – Leighton Dr – Abandoned bicycle. Brought to PD to be claimed by owner.
  • Suspicious Activity – Lakeside Park – Possible drug deal. Investigated by officers.
  • Traffic Complaint – Truman Dr – Vehicle speeding in neighborhood. Spoken with.
  • Agency Assist – Hwy 25/4th St – Assisted deputy on a traffic stop. 
  • DWI – Jefferson Blvd – Disturbance by the driver of a vehicle called in by a business. Vehicle located. Stopped for going against a traffic sign and failing to signal turns. Signs of impairment. DWI investigation conducted. Arrested for DWI, tested, and booked into Sherburne Jail. 
  • Security Alarm – Engle Wood Dr – Responded and checked. No problems found.
  • Parking Complaint – Hill St – Enforced no parking zone.
  • ATV Complaint – Independence Dr – Report of juveniles riding on dirt bikes on the street. Contacted a juvenile and explained acceptable use.
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10/Euclid – Located a vehicle called in as a traffic complaint on Hwy 10. Discussed issues with driver.
  • Crimes Against Justice – 201st Ave/168th St – Motorcycle that fled from Sherburne Deputy located by an officer. The motorcycle fled from the officer when emergency lights were activated. The motorcycle increased speed and gained distance quickly. The pursuit was discontinued. 
  • Agency Assist – Co Rd 15/Hwy 10 – Went into the area of the direction a speeding motorcycle was headed while fleeing a deputy. The motorcycle was not seen before another Big Lake Officer located it. 
  • Trespass – Jefferson Blvd – A disturbance called in by employees requested officers trespass a party from the business. 

Friday, May 26, 2023

  • Suspicious Activity – Esther Pkwy – Callers reported juveniles inside house under construction. Juveniles gone on arrival. Property checked.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Monroe St – Spoke with parent on options to handle a provocative picture that was shared. 
  • Public Assist – Martin/Phyllis – Moved broken down vehicle away from intersection.
  • 911 Hang Up – Hiawatha Ave – Responded. Accidental dial. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Pleasant Ave – Parent called for assistance with juvenile refusing to cooperate. 
  • Suspicious Person – Jefferson Blvd – Party sleeping on the steps of a business. Contacted party who was passing through, waiting for the train. 
  • 911 Hang Up – Minnesota Ave – Responded and checked apartment building. No problems.
  • Agency Assist – BLPD – Assisted a Becker Officer while processing a DWI arrest.

Thursday, May 25, 2023

  • Warrant Attempt – Minnesota Ave – Party with a warrant located and arrested. Custody transferred to Wright County. 
  • Suspicious Person – Jefferson Blvd – Party in a parking lot using drugs. Party contacted. Homeless, passing through the area. Discussed plan to move along.
  • Crash – Eagle Lk Rd/Martin Ave – Two vehicle crash. Investigation conducted. 
  • Crime Against Family – Co Rd 43 – Intoxicated party attempted to grab onto a passing train. The party received injury from the attempt. A child was with the party when this occurred. Party received medical care and was booked into Sherburne Jail for child endangerment. 
  • Public Assist – Minnesota Ave – Assisted getting a juvenile home that could not reach a parent.
  • Suspicious Activity – Sterling Dr – Questions about significant other having hidden cameras in the common spaces of a residence. 
  • 911 Hang Up – Loon Dr – Possible juveniles calling reporting they were robbed and someone stole cheeseburgers from McDonald’s. Checked address but did not locate juveniles. 
  • Suspicious Activity – Kilbirnie Rd – A patrolling night officer saw a car trunk open. Attempted to contact the owner without success. Secured the trunk. 

Wednesday, May 24, 2023

  • Disturbance – Harrison/Independence – Report of parties yelling at each other in a driveway. Officers responded. Learned they were yelling because another party was sleeping with both of them. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Trillium Ln – Multiple juveniles showed up at a residence looking for the juvenile that resided there. Likely related to an issue that occurred earlier at school. Parent advised on steps to take. 
  • Hit and Run – Tarrytown Rd/Harrison Dr – A confrontation on the roadway, for following too closely, turned into a hit and run when one of the vehicles left and struck the open driver’s door of the other vehicle. The strike caused minor injury to the driver. 
  • Found Person – Sterling Dr – Unknown, unclothed, juvenile showed up at caller’s residence. Parents located.
  • Public Assist – Co Rd 73/Manitou – Provided lights for disabled vehicle until gas arrived. 
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 10/172nd St – Report of vehicles racing. Unable to locate.
  • Lift Assist – Ormsbee St – Uninjured person slid out of chair. Assisted from the floor.
  • Suspicious Person – Park Ave – Unknown person was standing in the driveway when the caller returned home. The caller left and waited for an officer to respond. The person was gone when the officer arrived. Unable to locate.

  • Found Dog – Eagle Lk Rd S – Caller was willing to hold onto dog and post on social media. Caller advised the owner was located and picked up the dog.
  • Crash – Jefferson Blvd – Occurred in a parking lot. Information gathered.
  • Suspicious Activity – Eagle Lk Rd S – Unknown vehicle pulled into driveway and unknown person knocked on door. 
  • Dog Complaint – Edinburgh Way – Dog owner spoken with about complaint that dog leaves yard.
  • Theft – Rose Dr – Theft from a business. Investigation begun.
  • Loud Noise – Gordon Ln – Report of loud music. Spoke with a party about loud music and bass from vehicle. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Engle Wood Dr – Report of young juveniles outside unsupervised. Spoke with caller about options. 
  • 911 Hang Up – Powell St – Two calls received. Responded and found a party doing yard work. Cell phone was in pocket and called “Emergency” due to perspiration and pressure from pocket. 
  • Dog Complaint – Highline Dr/Julie Way – Two loose dogs. Brought to PD until owners retrieved.
  • Suspicious Person – Loon Dr – Party sleeping on a free futon at the edge of the road. Party was gone on officer’s arrival. 
  • Lift Assist – Norwood Ln – Assisted an uninjured person out of their chair. 

Monday, May 22, 2023

  • Suspicious Activity – Pintail St – Unknown white van pulled into caller’s driveway when no one was home. Information gathered. 
  • Public Assist – Co Rd 81/204th Ave – Assisted a broken-down motorcyclist. 
  • Agency Assist – 215th Ave – Assisted deputy on a medical emergency. 
  • Public Assist – Hwy 10/Industrial – Assisted a party that was walking along the highway.
  • Gas Smell – Monroe – Report of “rotten egg smell”. Checked area with FD but unable to find source as the smell dissipated. 
  • Traffic Complaint – Hwy 25/Co Rd 17 – Reported issue at the merge to one lane on Hwy 25. Located suspect vehicle and spoke with driver about the report. 
  • Found Dog – Lake Ridge Dr – Found dog turned over to PD. Held at PD before moved to Monticello shelter.
