Funeral services were held April 16, 2014 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in St. Joseph for Travis J. Doering, age 40, of Las Vegas and formerly of St. Joseph, who passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Las Vegas. Reverend Linda Lagergren officiated. Interment will take place at a later date.
Travis was born on September 16, 1973 in St. Cloud to Michael Doering and Linda (Mumme, Doering) Mock. Travis graduated from Holdingford High School. His passion was music and playing the drums. He was in Concert Band, Pep Band and Jazz Ensemble and received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. After high school, he attended Music Tech of Minnesota College and studied drumming and various areas of technician work. He worked in Minneapolis/St. Paul for a few years and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005 to use his talents and training as a Stage Technician and musician.
He loved fishing, hunting, and occasionally rebuilding automobile engines.
Travis is survived by his parents; Linda (William) Mock and Michael (Susan) Doering; sisters and brothers; James Doering, Michelle Doering, Brenda Newiger, Kevin Mock, AmyRose Mock; grandfather, Clifford Buss of Starbuck; several aunts, uncles and cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
