Sharon Ella Roster, 77 Big Lake, MN April 7, 1947- August 4, 2024

Sharon was born April 7, 1947 in Wisconsin to Darwin (Bud) Johnson and Stella (Dubiel) Johnson.  She grew up in Big Lake Minnesota and graduated from Big Lake High School.  Sharon passed away on August 4 at her home in Big Lake, surrounded by family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sharon worked for 30 years at Jim’s Bar in Big Lake where she gained many friendships that lasted her lifetime.

After retirement from Boston Scientific, Sharon spent many years in Arizona with her friend Bud Fischer, where she was always happy to entertain her visiting friends and family. She would often spend summers at Carefree Country Club in Big Lake.  Sharon enjoyed morning coffee, catching up with loved ones on the telephone, playing cards, fishing and being outdoors, painting, cooking, reading and staying on top of newsworthy current events. Sharon’s door was always open to anybody, anytime, and you never had to knock.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Stella, her husband Jack Roster and her grandson Michael Parsons.

She is survived by her three daughters, Michelle (Pat) Sawatzke, Mindy Parsons and Kendra Lange, sisters Sheila Johnson, Judy Johnson Pearson and Brenda Fisher, grandchildren Kassidy Parsons, Morgan Lanners, Wyatt Parkhill, Grace Sawatzke and Henry Sawatzke, great grandchildren Resa, Waylon and Harvey, many nieces and nephews, her spoiled and beloved dog Charlie, and too many friends to mention.

The Celebration of Life will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm on Saturday August 24th at the Activity Center of the Carefree Country Club, 12311 185th Ave SE Big Lake MN.  Visitation will begin at 3 pm with a service to follow at 4 pm.
