Sarah Warkentin Angell, age 97 of Minnetonka (Becker), Minnesota, passed away peacefully to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Flagstone Senior Communities. Sarah was the daughter of George and Eva (Heinrich) Warkentin.

She was born February 15, 1927, and grew up in the Mountain Lake Community. Sarah, after completing high school in Mountain Lake, attended North West Institute in Minneapolis, and graduated with a Medical Technology Certificate. She also attended Grace Bible College in Omaha. Sarah moved back to Minneapolis and worked as a Lab Technician in a doctor’s office for several years.

On August 25, 1956, Sarah was united in marriage to Harold Angell in Mountain Lake. After the children arrived, she chose to be a “stay at home” mom. Sarah was involved in helping with school activities. She also taught at children’s vacation bible school and children’s Sunday school. Sarah was involved with Harold as leaders of small group Bible studies at Wooddale Church and Becker Baptist.

After retiring, Sarah and Harold moved back to the Becker area. They both became involved at Becker Baptist Church and served on various church committees. Sarah really enjoyed listening to the children recite their Bible verses in the Awana’s program on Wednesday nights. Sarah had a strong faith in Jesus and a gentle and loving spirit. She was always willing to host family and friends for a delightful meal or plate of her sugar cookies. We will always remember her as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
