Sally Ann (Bolin) Vincent, 79 Big Lake, MN June 4, 2024

Sally Ann (Bolin) Vincent, age 79 of Big Lake, passed away at Mercy Hospital on June 4, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Vincent; her parents, Dorothy and Harold Bolin and her sister Jeannie (Ronald) Lannoye. She is survived by her sister Joyce (Ronnie) Hayes; her brothers Robert (Judy) Bolin and James (Madonna) Bolin; her children Ronda (Calvin) Aho, Michael Vincent, Donnie Vincent (Jennifer Wolff), grandchildren Sheyenne Moulzolf, Zachary Moulzolf, Zedekiah Vincent, Grayson Vincent, Tyler Ferrante, her great grandchild Jax Moulzolf and her beloved cat, Oreo.

Sally grew up in Big Lake, Minnesota. She played the big bass drum in the marching band and while she looked innocent, she was a prankster all throughout high school; telling jokes, playing school pranks and, rumor has it, was once caught skinny dipping in Big Lake with friends, although we can’t confirm the allegation…  She was fearless and full of life.

After graduating high school, she left on a trip to visit her sister Jeannie in Illinois and that’s when she met Ronald.  After only 2 dates over a span of 3 days, a dare amongst friends led to a wedding at the Justice of the Peace in Illinois that same week, resulting in over 60 years of marriage.   After Ronald was done serving in the Navy, they moved to Connecticut.  It was here they met their new neighbors, Dave and Terry McDonald, who knew as soon as they saw Sally’s undergarments hanging in the front window, that they were destined to become lifelong friends.

A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Sally was constantly cleaning, baking and helping others. She worked for Social Services in Sherburne County for over 20 years and volunteered in the community at the food shelf, Meals on Wheels, and helped the elderly with shopping and doctor’s visits.  She was always there for anyone who needed her.

She will be greatly missed.

Open visitation will be held Saturday, July 20th, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Saron Lutheran Church, 311 Lake Street S., Big Lake, MN.  Service will start at 11:00 AM with a luncheon to follow.
