Ross Bryant Johnson, Age 41 - Weatherford, TX (Formerly Becker, MN) - April 4, 1981 – October 15, 2022

Ross, resident of Weatherford, Texas, was promoted to glory on October 15th, 2022, surrounded by his wife and family.  Ross was born on April 4, 1981, to Dean and Wendy Johnson of Becker, Minnesota.  He graduated from Becker High School and attended DeVry University.  He married Amy (Rieke) in 2010, and they had two sons, Samuel and Ezra.  Ross had a strong work ethic and put his heart and creativity into so much of what he did.  He worked at Anatomy_IT as a Senior Service Desk Engineer.  He was a talented craftsman and entrepreneur and started Truth Woodworking, making beautiful custom woodwork.  He volunteered at Becker Baptist in his younger years, and eventually found his church home at Mudcastle in St. Cloud, MN where he served in audio/video production, building maintenance, administration, and prayer.  He also served on the board of Gracemarie’s Song; a nonprofit formed to combat sexual exploitation.  He enjoyed deer hunting with his family, board games, Hawaiian shirts, guns, dad jokes, tacos, green olives, spicy peppers, and whipped cream with a side of pie.

In 2021, he moved with his family on to a new adventure in the great state of Texas.  Ross fully enjoyed life and when he was diagnosed with colon cancer in December of 2021, he determined to live his days in faith for healing.  He was courageous in his faith and an encouragement to his friends and family.  In the end, he knew when he faced death, he would be with Jesus.  Knowing that, he had joy and peace.  According to God’s great mercy, Ross was born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for him.  (1 Peter 1:3-4)  In the midst of pain, he lived his last days with his sense of humor, love for his family and friends, and praising God for His faithfulness.

He is survived by his wife Amy, sons Samuel (8) and Ezra (6), parents Dean and Wendy Johnson, sister Rachel (Andrew) Nelson, sister Kimberly Baggett, and Grandmother Virginia Johnson, in addition to nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 19th - 10am Visitation and 11am Service at Becker Baptist Church: 11951 Hancock St, Becker, MN.  Dress will be casual and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged.
