In Loving Memory of Ronald Farm
Ron Farm, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on April 27, 1937 in Fairmont, Minnesota, Ron was hard working and full of kindness, wisdom, fun and unwavering love for his family. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Ron was known for his deep love for his family. He and his wife, Pat, to whom he was married for almost 60 years were committed to their children and grandchildren and he could be found coaching them when they were young, teaching their Sunday school classes and cheering in the stands at all their events. He could also be found doing repairs and updates at their homes as his service to his family was the language of his love. He loved teasing his grandchildren and great- grandchildren and making them smile.
He was a Christian who loved his Lord and a patriot who served and loved his country. Ron developed many friendships in his career during his years as a salesman and later as owner of Winlectric in Elk River, Minnesota. He was a trustworthy businessman who served his clients with friendship and integrity. He also found great joy in serving in many roles in the many churches he attended throughout his life.
Ron is survived by his children – Douglas Farm of Zimmerman, MN; Tamara Prigge of Big Lake, MN; Daniel (Claire) Farm of Rochester, MN; Jon (Jane) Farm of Rice Lake, WI and James (Marlo) Farm of Arden Hills, MN. 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and sister – Audrey (Rollo) Kihn of Bricelyn, MN. He also leaves behind a host of friends and extended family who will remember his generosity, humor, and serving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his wife - Patricia; daughter-in-law – Debra Farm; Parents – Reynold and Hazel Farm and brother – Berdell Farm as well as many extended family and friends.
A visitation for Ron was held on May 30, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Peterson - Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 E. Broadway Street, Monticello, Minnesota. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. All donations given to the family will be directed to enhance the activities at White Pines Advanced Memory Care in Ron’s memory.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the countless memories and the enduring legacy Ron has left behind. He will always be in our hearts, forever bringing a smile to our face as we remember his love and spirit. Because of our shared faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we look forward to seeing him in the future and celebrating the goodness of our Lord in reuniting us together.
