Robert (Bob) Raymond Aasen, 77, of Big Lake, MN passed away unexpectedly at his winter home in Apache Junction AZ. Bob was born June 21st 1945 to Orlo and Marge Aasen in Philadelphia PA. The birth and death of this humble man is not nearly as relevant as the days in between, as he lived life as if there was no tomorrow.

Bob attended Lindaas Country School and later attended and graduated from Mayville High School and Mayville State College. It was while he and Patty (Meyer) were college students that they began their love story of 58 years. They were blessed with two children, Rob and Jennifer. Big Lake, MN became their home for most of their married life where they followed Rob and Jen’s school and sports activities. Summers were spent on the lake entertaining family and friends; it was a given that a good time would be had at Bob and Patty’s. For the last several years Bob and Patty spent the summer months at Carefree Country Club, and wintered in Apache Junction, AZ. He cherished his golf partners in both residences. Bob was passionate about his work as a dedicated and successful sales manager for Scorpion for 10 years and Arctic Cat, 33 years.

Bob was baptized and confirmed at First American Lutheran Church in Mayville. He loved his church home in AZ. and proclaimed his faith in Jesus as his Savior by adult Baptism, on Easter Sunday 2022 at Desert Road Community Church.

Bob was a devoted husband, incredibly proud of his children and spoke of them with a smile on his face. That same pride was shown in his grandsons and great granddaughters. Bob was always up for an adventure, whether it be snowmobiling, motorcycling, or ATV riding the sand dunes in AZ. He enjoyed the game of golf, the camaraderie of his buddies, and the bragging rights, paired with a beverage at the 19th hole.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Patty, son Rob Aasen (Tanya), daughter Jennifer, (Troy Holasek) grandchildren: Michael (Jenna)Aasen, Alex Aasen (fiancé Marlana) Sean Aasen, Garrett and Bennett Holasek, great grandchildren: Ava and Ella Aasen, brother: Ron Aasen, sisters: Jacquie (Gary) Winger, Peggy Aasen, Wendy (Rick) Soholt, Pam Beck and Jeff Schaffer, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Orlo and Marge Aasen and sister Pamela Grace

Visitation: one hour prior to service at the church. Service: 11:00 on Saturday June 3rd at their home church, Saron Lutheran – 311 Lake Street South Big Lake, MN
