Rita Mae VanderFeltz Puckett, 90, a former resident of St. Boniface MN died February 7, 2025 in her home town of Jefferson City, MO.

Rita Mae was born October 18, 1934 in Jefferson City on the VanderFeltz Dairy Farm to Gerhardt G. and Cecilia J. (Franken) VanderFeltz. She was married on June 6, 1953 in Jefferson City to Raymond L. Puckett, who preceded her in death on February 11, 2010.

Rita Mae was a 1952 graduate of St. Peter High School and was elected Homecoming Queen.  After graduation she began her banking career at Central Bank.  She followed Raymond’s telephone engineering career to live in Newton, IA and St. Bonifacius, MN. She worked as a bank teller for First National Bank of Waconia and Klein Bank in St Bonifacius for 26 years, retiring in 2008.

Survivors include four children: Dennis Puckett, Dianne Cassady, Donna Puckett and Pepper Saucier; grandchildren, Aaron Abernathy, Matt and Rachel Abernathy, Patrick Puckett and Megan Puckett; and great-grandchildren, Karsyn, Barrett, and Kinsley. She is also survived by sister-in-law Judy (Fechtel) VanderFeltz, Westphalia and brother-in-law Jim Puckett, Linn.
