Paris E. Broker, age 66, of Big Lake, passed away on June 1, 2025, after a hard fought battle with leukemia. She is preceded in death by her mother Janis Joy; and sister Holly Hess. Paris is survived by her loving husband William; children Jared (Racheal) Hess, Jessica (Aaron) Benker, Jon Broker, fur babies Bear and Betsy, grandchildren; and many friends.
Paris held three master’s degrees, she held degrees in Teaching, Criminal Justice, and Cosmetology. Her true passion was teaching, and she took such pride in her students at Wright Technical Center in Buffalo. Helping people was her gift. She had such a giving and generous heart. She was known to start her Christmas shopping in January for the upcoming year, wrapping gifts so early she forgot what they were! Her generosity spilled over into the kitchen with her baking and cooking, making many more portions than there were mouths to feed.
She was passionate about gardening, and spending time out on their deck taking in the beauty of the lake. She liked fishing, deer hunting, bird watching, and felt so accomplished when she got her first deer. Paris was a Minnesota sports fan but especially loved the Minnesota Vikings. She was known for standing in front of the television giving the ref’s a piece of her mind.
Paris was genuine, a lover of life, and will be missed immensely, but will never be forgotten.
