Mary Ann Neumann, age 83, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Mary Ann was Friday, March 31 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. The Rev. Virgil Helmin officiated. Burial was in the Parish cemetery. Visitation was Friday at the church. Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.
Mary Ann (Winkelman) Neumann was born June 19, 1933 in Benton County, Minnesota the daughter of Frank and Clara (Balder) Winkelman. She graduated from Foley High School in 1950. She was united in marriage with Donald Neumann on April 17, 1951 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mary Ann worked for T.O. Plastics for over 30 years. She was an excellent baker and also tended bar and was a very social person. She had a great sense of humor and a big heart. Everyone referred to her as "Mom" or "Grannie Annie." She will be fondly remembered as the kindest woman in Clear Lake.
Mary Ann is survived by her children: Mary Kay Carlson of Clear Lake, Karen (Dean Osmonson) Neumann of Champlin, Debi Neumann of Clear Lake, Barb (Don) Herbst of Foley; daughter-in-law, Carol Neumann of Champlin; sisters-in-law, Luella Schuette of Becker and Teresa Winkelman of Princeton; grandchildren: Nathan (Diane) Neumann, DaNelle (Travis) McCalla, Amanda Neumann and Adam (Kat) Neumann; Jeff (CeCe) Carlson, Brad(Hilde Kristen) Carlson, Chris(Melissa)Carlson, Tony (Vanessa) Carlson, Caty (Denny) Wurm.
Great-grandchildren: Andrew, Devin, Aiden, Sebastien, Christian, Melody, Kaylin,Allison Carlson, Landon, and Beckham Wurm, Collin Neumann, Emily Neumann and Carson Hamacher; brothers: Delbert (Eleanor) Winkelman of St. Augusta, Jerry Winkelman of St. Cloud and Bernie (Judy) Winkelman of Foley; as well as other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; son, Kenneth; grandson, Jeremy; brother, Ralph; sister, Myrtle David; and infant siblings.
