Funeral Services were held Friday, January 23, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Marlys “Molly” I. Towberman, age 74, who passed away Monday at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. Bob Rasmussen officiated and burial was at St. Francis River Cemetery in Glendorado Township.
Marlys “Molly” Towberman was born Jan. 13, 1941 in Little Falls to Arthur & Vernie (Madsen) Saulter. She married Ralph Eugene Kennedy on Sept. 1, 1961 in Little Falls until his death on Dec. 26, 2001. Molly married Carl Towberman on May 17, 2003 in Fridley. She lived in Little Falls until she was 18, and also lived in Bemidji, St. Paul, and in St. Cloud since 2009. Molly was a homemaker and also worked at Totino’s Pizza in her younger years. She was a member of Woodcrest Baptist Church in Fridley from 1976-1998. Molly enjoyed music, singing, playing piano, crafting, jewelry, sign language, traveling and fishing. She was a classy, positive lady who had a big heart and provided unconditional love. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Carl of St. Cloud; daughters, Cindy (Bob) Rasmussen of Pickle Lake, Ontario and Debbie (Chris) Mortensen of Clear Lake; brother and sister, Arthur Saulter, Jr. and Joanie Siers both of Little Falls; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Molly was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ralph; son, Eugene Kennedy; and sisters and brother, Charlotte, Yvonne, Marge, Gail and John.
