Marilyn Jean (Timm) Jones passed away peacefully and went home to be with Lord on Wednesday, December 3 surrounded by her family. She was born to Lillian and Harlan Timm in Minneapolis, MN on September 16, 1937 and grew up on the farm in Clear Lake, MN. She graduated from Becker High School in 1955 and Vocational School of Minneapolis in 1967.
She lived in Minnesota until 1974 when moved to Laurel, MT. She loved working at Eastern Montana College until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing but her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved walking in the neighborhood and was well acquainted with most of her neighbors and their pets. As a faithful Christian, Marilyn attended First Baptist Church in Laurel for many years, where she taught Sunday School, enjoyed singing in the choir, and made many lifelong friends. She was a strong, selfless, caring woman who was dedicated to the Lord. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Marilyn was preceded in heaven by her father Harlan and mother Lillian, brother Kenneth Timm and Sister-in-law Kathy Timm. She is survived by: sisters, Carol Timm, Doreen (Don) Buechele, Brother Denny Timm, Daughter Maggie (Ray) Carlson, Son Terry (Jennie) Jones, grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Burtman, Shawn (Alina) Burtman, Chad (Becca) Burtman, Shannon (John) Witcpalek, Jason Jones, Chrissy (Carson) Jones, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service was held on Friday, December 12 at the First Baptist Church of Laurel (400 7th Avenue). Additional memorial will be held in Minnesota, date to be determined.
