Kathleen “Kitty” Underhill, 78 Big Lake, MN July 17, 1946 – August 7, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Kathleen “Kitty” Underhill announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, with her loved ones by her side.

Born on July 17, 1946, in Minneapolis, Kitty was the cherished daughter of William and Ethel (Dolinsky) Doll.

Kitty’s life was marked by a deep and abiding love. On June 25, 1966, she married Ronald D. Underhill, and together they built a life filled with love and joy. Although she had to say goodbye to Ron in 2005, her love for him never wavered. Now, we find comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.

For many years, Kitty was a beloved cashier at Stevens’ Super Value in Big Lake, now known as Coborn’s. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on her customers, many of whom would wait in her line just for the chance to chat with her.

Kitty was a gifted crocheter, known for her beautiful Afghans and other crafts. Those fortunate enough to receive one of her creations proudly belonged to the “Kitty Afghan Club.” Her talent was matched by her competitive spirit; she loved a good game of cribbage and was always ready to win. Kitty’s home was a place of welcome for all, and many who entered her life as friends proudly called her “Auntie Kitty.” A lifelong Elvis fan, Kitty now dances with both her beloved Ronny and the King himself in heaven.

Kitty’s loving personality, her radiant smile, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Underhill; her parents, William and Ethel Doll; and her brother, Richard Doll. Kitty is lovingly remembered by her nieces, Lynette (John Farr) and family, Kelley (Tim Tripp) and family, and her brother, Joseph Doll, and his family.

A special thank you to Centra Care Hospice for the care Kitty received. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished by those whose lives she touched.
