Memorial Services were Sat., Sept. 19 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker for Karen L. Gottwalt, age 74, who passed away Monday at her home. Rev. Eugene Doyle officiated. Visitation was Friday.

 

Karen was born March 30, 1941 in Walhalla, ND to Joseph & Georgianna (Melhaus) Renville. She married David Gottwalt on Jan. 14, 1961 at St. Stephens Church in Minneapolis. They lived in Chaska, St. Louis Park, Rush City, and in Becker since 2005. Karen was an avid reader and enjoyed pull tabs and her cat, Gabby. She was a Twins and Vikings fan.

 

Survivors include her husband, David of Becker; children, Marchell (Troy) Nelson of Sacramento, CA, Michael (Brenda) of Carver, and Maria (Kyle) Kuelbs of Grey Eagle; brothers and sister, Jerry Renville of Roseville, CA, Lowan Renville of Placerville, CA, Curt Renville of Placerville, CA, Jean Wood of Modesto, CA and Tim Renville of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Tim, Lyndsay (Dan), Brian (Courtney), Todd (Liz), Dana, Matthew and Kayla; and great grandchildren, Brynlee and Kainan. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Duane, Joe, Ronald, Fred and Jack Renville.
