Judy Gail (Pittman) Welch, age 61 of Clear Lake, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 19, 2024 with her loved ones by her side. Judy was preceded in death by her siblings Daniel, and Carmae Pittman; parents James and Roseann (Thelitz) Pittman; and brother-in-law Brian Johnson. She is survived by her siblings Norman Pittman, and Trudy Johnson; niece and nephews Jennifer, Justin, and Jarrod Johnson; special friend Johnny Keeling; longtime, best friend Linda Spaudling; her beloved pup, Rosie; and many beloved friends and coworkers.
Judy was a 1981 graduate of Becker High School. She started working for Northern States Power (now Xcel Energy) through a high school affiliation, in 1980. At the time of her passing, she was a Business Process Specialist and had 44 years in with Xcel Energy.
Judy had a passion for traveling. The Bahamas, Hawaii, Destin, Florida, Mexico, Las Vegas and the Caribbean were some of her destinations.
To know Judy was to love her and once you knew her, she’d steal your heart. The many lasting friendships she made was a testament. She was a very Christian individual, was generous, and believed in helping those less fortunate and giving to those in need. She spent many years volunteering with Network for Life and helping people in transition.
A Celebration of Life service in honor of Judy will be held at 2 p.m. with visitation from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Chapel, 250 Broadway Street East, Monticello. Light refreshments will be served following the service at the funeral home.
