Judith A. Malachek

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home in Clearwater for Judith “Judy” Ann Malachek age 73 of Clearwater, who died on Sun., March 5, at Country Manor Nursing Home in Sartell. Burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date. 
 
Judy was born on August 19, 1943 in Hopkins, MN the daughter of Joseph and Georgina (Schimanski) Henson.  She grew up in Hopkins and moved to Maple Lake after she married Wayne Malachek.  This is where she raised her three children until 1997 when she moved to Clearwater, MN.  This has been her home since that time.
 
She worked as a cashier for many years at the Clearwater Travel Plaza and later at the Hasty Truck Stop until she retired in 2013.  Judy enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, feeding the birds and reading books. She also loved being with her grandchildren.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son Joseph John, and two brothers Tom and Joe Henson.
 
She is survived by her three children, Charlie (Terri), Todd (Judy) all of Maple Lake, and Lori (David) Hangsleben of Solway, two grandchildren, Hailee and Hunter Malachek of Maple Lake, two sisters, Patricia (Frank) Davidson of St. Charles, MO, and Sharon Fallon of Baudette, three brothers, Don (Betty) Henson of Deephaven, Bob Henson of Minnesota, and Jim Roberts of Minneapolis, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
