Visitation was Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, Becker.  Mass of Christian Burial followed at the church. There was a private interment. Funeral arrangements were with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.

 

Joe was born on September 30, 1974 in San Andreas, CA to Bernnie and Cindy (Matlock) Lutz. He moved with his family to Minnesota in 1976, where his father worked for NSP and his mother drove bus for the Becker School District. In 1978, he welcomed his sister Kelly into the family. Joe attended school K-12 in Becker, and spent his childhood playing multiple sports and hanging out with many friends. In 1997, he married the love of his life, Stephanie Ann Florey.  They were blessed by God with two precious children, Jenna Ann (17) and Caleb Joseph (13), who he was very proud of. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his children and nephews, barbecuing for family and friends, and doodling on projects with his children. He was happy as long as his time was spent with this family.

 

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Bernnie;  and grandparents Earl and Evelyn Lutz. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie;  children Jenna, 17 and Caleb, 13;  mother Cindy Lutz;  sister Kelly (Aaron) Jurek and their children Logan, Jacob, Adam and Nolan;  father-in-law and mother–in-law Ross and Judy Florey;  brothers-in-law Tony (Kim) Florey and their children Andrew and Gabby, and Jeff (Michelle) Florey and their children Lindsay, Hannah and Isabelle.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
