BIG LAKE, MN

FEBRUARY 15, 1944 – FEBRUARY 3, 2021

John passed away peacefully in his home on February 3, 2021 after a long battle with cancer.

John was born on February 15, 1944 in Fergus Falls, MN to Glen and Nora (Aanden) Carver. He attended school in Underwood, MN and graduated from Underwood High School in 1962. After high school John traveled the country working various jobs eventually becoming an Electrician in the early 1970’s. John married Darla Stocker in 1976 and had two boys. They built a house in Big Lake where John resided until his passing. John was a faithful member of the Electrical Union Local 110 until his retirement in 2006.

Survivors include his children, Anthony Carver (Andrea) of Becker and Adam Carver (Karen) of Orono. John has five grandchildren, Alexandrea, Ashton, Preston, Ethan and Lavinia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Glenice Kester.

John’s family is grateful for the care and guidance provided by Ashley, Heather, Tiffany and Chris with CentraCare Home Health & Hospice Services.

A celebration of life is planned for later this spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
