It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Paul Reiners, age 62, who left this world on Saturday, April 5, 2025, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. As a devoted husband, father and beloved grandfather, Jeff embodied love and strength, leaving behind a legacy of servant leadership that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born in July of 1962, Jeff honorably lived a life in service; serving his country as a Corporal in the Marine Corps, exemplifying a steadfast commitment to duty that carried through every facet of his life; he served his community for over 20 years as a dedicated firefighter with the Becker Fire Department, valiantly protecting his community and earning the respect and admiration of both peers and neighbors. Jeff worked over 30 years at JB Group in St. Michael, Minnesota, where he was known for his exceptional driving skills and remarkable safety record—achieving accident and violation-free mileage that may never be surpassed. In addition to his service career, and hobbies, Jeff could be found in a tractor on Edling Farms in Clear Lake, tilling up God’s great earth to plant and harvest the freshest produce.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeff was the epitome of a model citizen. He cherished his roles as a husband, father, papa, brother, and son, providing unwavering support and love to his family. He instilled in them the values of faith, hard work, dedication, and integrity, which will continue to inspire and motivate them and their families.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Dawn Reiners; his two children, Kory (Erica) and Nikki; and three precious granddaughters, Lauren, Allie, and Leah, who were the apple of Papa’s eye. Although preceded in death by brother Michael, Jeff’s memory will also be carried by his parents, Marlin and Rosemary Reiners, sister Jane Behrendt (Bob), and brother Eric (Tahnee). He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched with his quick wit, relentless work ethic, kindness, and generosity.
A celebration of Jeff’s remarkable life will be held at the Becker Fire Hall on Sunday, April 27th from 1pm to 4pm. A military memorial service to honor Jeff will be held on Monday April 28th at 1pm at Camp Ripley, Little Falls, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) , a cause that was dear to Jeff’s heart. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his loving spirit and the indelible mark he left on our lives.
