Jamie Lynn (Wilts) Oster of Fountain Hills AZ (formerly of Big Lake, MN) passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She grew up on the Wilts family farm just south of the town of Big Lake, raised by parents Bob and Judy, and was ‘chore buddy’ alongside her brother, Michael.

Jamie graduated high school in 1999, completing her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate during her senior year. That was followed by a Paramedic degree as she continued her first responder service for 12 years.

Following in her Uncle Tom Wilts’ footsteps, (who was Chief Deputy in Sturgis, SD) she completed her Law Enforcement degree and was hired by Washington County. She enjoyed her job, working with her fellow deputies and the community and was excited to be promoted to Detective to work in the Narcotics Unit.  In 2020. Jamie and the love of her life, Clint Oster were married and moved to Arizona.

In April, 2022, Jamie was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.  For over two years she fought like a warrior but was called home on September 16 2024.

She is survived by her husband, Clint, brother Michael (Morgan Hill) and family, Canyon Country, CA, parents Bob and Judy Wilts, De Smet, SD, brother-in-law Rory (Robin) and family, Chaska MN, in-laws Russ & Penny Oster, Oracle AZ, Uncles Bill Wilts, Whitewood SD, Jeff (Dini) Obenchain, Verndale MN and Aunt Janel Obenchain, Salinas CA.
