Irene Evelyn (Gallus) Miller, age 91 of Sauk Rapids, passed away March 27, at her home on the Good Shepherd Campus. Irene was born October 19, 1925, in Delano, to Frank and Agnes (Pollock) Gallus, you youngest of six children. Upon graduating from Delano High School in 1943, she worked in the Twin Cities area.
October 16, 1948, Irene married Earl Miller at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in Delano. They resided in the Hopkins and Minnetonka areas until 1967 when they purchased the Bel-Air Motel in Little Falls. Many of their retirement years were spent living in Monticello. They enjoyed many years of travel to places such as the Black Hills, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, and they spent several winters in Arizona.
Irene loved to spend time gardening, reading, crocheting, baking, practicing her calligraphy, and soaking up the sunshine.
Irene is survived by her daughter Diane Pearson of Seattle, WA; son Alan Miller of Clear Lake; daughter-in-law Julie (Welna) Miller of Clear Lake; granddaughter Anna Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
A mass and memorial gathering will be held for Irene at a future date. Private interment will be at Oakland Cemetery of Little Falls. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.
