Dolly was born in Blue Hill Township, Sherburne County, MN to Glenn and Selma Lambert. Dolly came from a musical family and married a musical man, Richard Thompson, on January 29, 1955. Together they had four children. Richard died in 1972 and in 1975 Dolly married Warren Scott and gained six step-children. She worked several jobs over the years, but her main role was taking care of her home and family. She lived most of her years in Sherburne County.

Dolly is survived by her brother Terry (Pracita- decd.) Lambert of California; sisters-inlaw MaryLou and JoAnn Lambert; sisters-in-law Bonnie and Floy Thompson; children Mike (Karmy) Thompson of New York Mills, MN, Dave (Laurie) Thompson, Bruce (Sharon) Thompson and Kim (Steve) Borst all of Becker, MN; step-children Ron Scott, Liz Scott, Dennis Scott and Linda (Dave) Hohlen; grandchildren Doug, Ryan, Erin, Marcus, Elizabeth, Callie, Mariah, Toriel and Josiah; six great-grandchildren, as well as several step-grandchildren.

Dolly is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Mabel Lambert; husband Richard; second husband Warren; brothers Buster and Jerry Lambert; step-sister Inez Straw; step-brother Clyde Gagnon and stepsons Mike and Paul Scott.

Dolly loved to hear her family play instruments, including piano, accordion, fiddle and banjo. She loved to sing songs with her children and grandchildren - even in her last years. Dolly died surrounded by family at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Becker. Visitation one hour prior to service. Private burial at a later date.
