Gary J. Grant, age 67, of Clearwater, died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Burial with military honors will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held later that day, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Clearwater American Legion, with a ceremony at 5:00 p.m.

Gary John Grant was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 8, 1956,  to Roger and Carolyn (Rudolph) Grant. He grew up in the Detroit Lakes and Wayzata areas, graduating in 1975 from Wayzata High School. He then obtained his Associate Degree in hydraulics from North Hennepin Tech. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1976-1980. Following his military service, Gary pursued a career in sales, working for several appliance companies, eventually becoming the Director of Sales at Electrolux. 

Gary will be remembered for his love of motorcycles and fishing, his unwavering support for the Minnesota Vikings, and his warm, giving heart. He had a deep passion for socializing, always considering everyone he met a part of his family. 

He is survived by his wife, Barb; daughter, Becca Grant (Tye Harris) in Austin, TX; granddaughter, Aspyn Ludenia; step-sons, Daniel and Michael Snodgrass; sister, Liz Leeds of Walcott, CO; niece and nephew, Gaby Leeds and Broby Leeds; and many friends that he considered family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Ludenia in 2017; mother, Carolyn Grant in 2018; father, Roger Grant in 2020; and former wife, Tracy Hill.

Mark Grant will serve as the urn bearer. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Annandale.
