Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Sat., May 13 at St. Marcus Catholic Church, Clear Lake, for Eulalia “Lu” V. Gohman who died Fri., May 5 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate and burial will be at the parish cemetery. Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday in Clear Lake. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Clear Lake.
Eulalia “Lu” was born on July 23, 1924 in Duelm to Max and Viola (Stengel) Struffert. She was united marriage to Donald Edward Gohman on September 9, 1944 in Newport News, VA. Lu lived in Clear Lake for all of her married life. She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. Lu was a member of St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake and involved in the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Clear Lake Legion Post 354 Auxiliary and Birthday Club. Lu enjoyed cooking, sewing and embroidery, gardening, fishing, traveling and playing cards, especially cribbage and 500. She loved to bake bread and spend time with her family and grandchildren. Lu found peace in being outside on the farm and watching and feeding the birds.
Survivors include her daughters and son, Janice Stein of Austin, TX, Sandra (Lawrence) Webb of Pollock Pines, CA, John (Marlene) of Clear Lake, Colette Beaver of Coon Rapids, Jody (Stephen) Nappa of Clear Lake and Charise (Mark) Ahrenholz of Clear Lake; sister, Nonna (William) Zwick of Lindstrom; sister-in-law, Jean Crandall of St. Cloud; brother-in-law, Bob Rausch of Fargo, ND; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; brother, Urban Struffert; sisters, Rita Gohman, Antionette Voss, Arlene Pantlin and Lydia Soder; sons-in-law, Byran Stein and Douglas Beaver and infant grandchildren, Eric, Gretchen and Kyle Nappa.
