A Celebration of Life will be from 2–4 p.m. on Sun, Dec. 18 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids for Dianne “Dee” Schendzielos, of Clear Lake who passed away on Tuesday at her home. There will be a Remembrance Ceremony at 4 p.m. at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls on Mon., Dec. 19, at 12 p.m.
Dianne was born on August 11, 1946 in Worthington to Gustav and Mary Ann (Scheppman) Seydel. She was married to Gregory “Gatzie” Schendzielos on May 10, 1975. Dee was a registered nurse and for over 25 years, she worked at the St. Cloud Hospital as a charge nurse in the operating room. She was an active member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) for much of her career and a member of South Santiago Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. Dee loved gardening, scrapbooking, traveling and watching wildlife. She made the best raspberry pie and spending time with her grandchildren brought her great joy.
Survivors include her daughters, Gretchen (Dan) Huwe of Clear Lake and Samantha Schenzielos of Columbia Heights; siblings, Shannen Seydel of Montana, Madeline (Timothy) Lenox of Eden Prairie, Gale (Larry) Jones of Blairsville, GA and Craig (Michele Fish) Seydel of Rogers; grandchildren, Piper and Martin Huwe; and granddog, Zeus. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Greg on October 22, 2016.
