It is with broken hearts that the families of Christian Scott Springer announce his passing from earth into the eternal presence of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Christian passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident.
Christian and his twin brother, Bode Scott, were born to Nathan Springer and Pearl Brugger on May 24, 2004. Christian’s early years were spent in Duluth. He was known for his friendliness, smiles, and energy. He amused his parents’ friends with his desire to organize items by color. They learned he was a bit “different” than other children his age. Later being diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome.
Starting in kindergarten, Christian lived between Big Lake and the Eden Prairie/Chanhassen area. He showed a love for art, music, nature, pets, people, anime, video games, hot chocolate, and his Grandma Nancy Springer’s pumpkin bread. Christian was a boy scout with Eden Prairie Troop # 342; he alpine skied; played the upright bass and later the bass guitar; served in the children’s ministry program at Riverside Alliance Church in Big Lake; and attended youth ministries in Big Lake and at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie.
While attending Eden Prairie High School, Christian worked at the Emagine Theater in Monticello. He loved greeting people and seeing the excitement and anticipation on children’s faces. He enjoyed seeing movies for free and often had a tub of popcorn and Dr Pepper when he was picked up. He graduated in 2022 and decided to live with his dad so he could walk to and from work, as he did not trust himself driving. He was hired by Byerly’s, working as an overnight stocker. He enjoyed his work, and often spoke of the different drinks he was encouraged to try by the baristas at the store coffee shop. He developed a fondness for Chia tea. He was compassionate toward all living things and could always be counted on for a “fun fact” or “punny”/Dad Jokes.
Christian was animated, artistic, awkward, caring, compassionate, energetic, enthusiastic, faithful, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, literal, loving, musical, outgoing, passionate, social, and witty.
He will be missed by all that knew him. He leaves behind many longing hearts, including Twin Brother Bode; Parents: Nathan (Anna) Springer, Pearl (Sam) Norlin (of Big Lake); Brothers: Parker, Jacob, Zachary and Nicholas; Sister: Annabelle; Grandparents: Jeremy & Nancy Springer, Larry & Mary Brugger, Steve & Sandy Norlin, Grant Larson, and Linda Peterson; Great Grandmothers: Claudine Hanson and Martha Salzer; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Christian would not want anyone to be sad at his passing, but to celebrate his life and opportunity to go to heaven to be with his pets, family members, and so many people from history that he read about.
The Celebration Service of Life and Resurrection will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church (16515 Luther Way Eden Prairie, MN 55346). Visitation will precede the service beginning at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, financial gifts can be given to an account setup in Christian’s honor that will be used to bless organizations and causes that he would want to support.
