Alvin W. Jones, age 84, of Big Lake (formerly of Elk River).  Passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on March 26, 2024.  Proudly worked 30+ years at Federal Cartridge in Anoka, MN.  Longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3264, American Legion Post #112, and Central Lutheran Church of Elk River.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene; parents, Joseph and Anna Marie (DeBoer) Jones; siblings, Martha, Tina, and Hank.

Al is survived by his children, Marilee (Scott) Nelson, Monalee (Steve) Williams, Curt (Nancy) Wetsel, Marlys (Don) Tellinghuisen, and Susan (Sam) Nicolas; grandchildren, Jeremy (Catie) Nelson, Stephanie Nelson, Cory Nelson, Zachary (Katie) Williams, Kailee Williams (Adam Johnson), Jacob Williams, Kristen (Michael) Bryant, Kari (Tim) Johnson, Don Tellinghuisen Jr. (Noelle Porter), Jason (Jody) Tellinghuisen, Thomas Nicolas (Annette Lujan), Terry (Melissa) Nicolas, and Sammy Nicolas; great-grandchildren, Markus & Lukas Nelson, Heather Williams, Isaac, Abigail, Charles, Lauren, Anna, Matthew, Alexis, Jaylynn, Jamison, Skylar, Parker, Thomas Jr., Kaden, Kenley, Kendyl, and Dane; special nieces, Cindy and Bonnie; extended family and friends.

Funeral service was at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St, Elk River. Visitation started at 1:00 p.m.
