The Becker Community Center hosted a Boy’s Night event last Saturday for youngsters ranging in age from eight to 12 years old (second-seventh grade).
Ten dollars got the boys in the door if they were pre-registered, otherwise walk-ups spent $15 to participate in the two-and-a-half hour event.
BCC staff had numerous activities on the docket for the 83 boys who attended. As parents descended on the BCC Saturday night, the boys eagerly escaped their transports and rushed into the building to partake in games, eat food and snacks and make new friends.
Some of the activities that were provided included: • Inflatable obstacle course; • Dodgeball and other active group games; • Rock climbing; • Karaoke; • Air hockey (new event this year); • Marshmallow catapult craft; • Xbox Kinect and Nerf games.
Prize drawings were held for all who entered.
