Wright County Sheriff’s Office Seeking Drinkers

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Standardized Field Sobriety testing class for our new deputies on Nov. 26 and 27 at the Buffalo Centennial Fire station.

Each day, they will need eight volunteer drinkers to consume alcohol in a controlled environment to reach a blood alcohol level between .08 and .12 to allow the newly trained officers to practice their recently acquired Standardized Field Sobriety skills.

Each volunteer will need to arrive at the Buffalo Centennial Fire Station at noon on the date they signed up for.  Volunteers are encouraged to make arrangements with a responsible sober adult driver to pick them up around 4:30-5:00.  If you are not able to pre-arrange a ride home, officers can make arrangements to give you a ride home and release you to a responsible person.

Each volunteer will need to sign a waiver prior to participating.  Sorry, if you are a Wright County employee you are not eligible to volunteer.

Please e-mail or call, Cpt. Dan Anselment directly (763-682-1162 or dan.anselment@co.wright.mn.us) if you are interested in helping us out.  Snacks and fun games will be provided during the 2 hours while you are consuming alcohol!!
