The Wright Co. Fair has once again come and gone, leaving behind memories of fun and good times for all who attended.
Along with the usual food, rides, and exhibit buildings, attendees took in many of their old favorites, including Los Moralitos Circus, which was back for its second appearance at the fair, wowing crowds with amazing feats of tumbling and acrobatics.
Crowds cheered on their favorites during the tractor pulls and derbies. New this year, Motokazie was a popular draw with their high-flying, fast paced dirt bike, pit bike, and atv Supercross Race. Party Crashers RC Racing enabled fans to do some racing on their own with their portable track and RC cars and trucks.
AWF Pro Wrestling ‘Fair Fight’ brought with it cheers and excitement as well, with AWF TV champions and other featured wrestlers entertaining the crowd with their athletic prowess.
Interacting with fair goers each day was the Dr. Street Magic Show and Alfy’s World of Robotic Puppets. Friday’s Senior Citizen Day and Saturday’s Military Day honored the county’s seniors and military members, and youth tried their hand at Mutton Bustin’ and the Kids Coin Scramble.
Wright Co. residents turned out for the Amateur Talent Show, impressing the audiences and judges with their varied talents and skills. The winners are headed to compete at the Minnesota State Fair Talent Show near the end of August.
The livestock and 4-H buildings and exhibits were, as always, a big part of what made the Wright Co. Fair the memorable event it always is. Members of the Clearwater 4-H group Northern Peak worked the 4-H food building Saturday morning, and once again came home with lots of colorful ribbons and winning honorable mentions, champion, and reserve champion. Many of their projects were also named eligible for the state fair.
