Benefits Open House
All veterans are invited to an open house at the Becker American Legion Post 193 at 12155 Hancock St. on Tue., Sept. 16 from 5-7 p.m. Information about Veterans Administration health care and extended care benefits will be provided, and light refreshments will be served.
Flu Vaccinations
A program of free flu vaccinations is available for veterans now receiving VA health care at the St. Cloud, Minneapolis or Ramsey VA Medical Centers. Locations: Tue., Sept. 23 from 9-11 a.m., Zimmerman American Legion; 1-3 p.m., Elk River American Legion. Wed., Sept. 24 from 9-11 a.m., Big Lake Senior Center; 1-3 p.m., Becker American Legion.
All veterans are encouraged to apply for the benefits their service has earned them, including enrollment in the VA health care system. The Sherburne County Veterans Service Office is located in the Sherburne County Government Center, 13880 Business Center Drive, Elk River, MN 55330.
