A two-car collision at Gardner Street and Hwy. 10 in Becker last Friday night sent five people to the hospital, according to a Minnesota State Patrol incident report.
In the report’s description of the scene, a 1990 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Ryan Wruck, 40, of Big Lake, was traveling south on Gardner Street and tried to cross the highway just before 5 p.m. Aug. 14. As he proceeded to cross over Hwy. 10, Wruck’s vehicle was struck by a 2006 Hyundai Sonata that was driven by Sara Fuller, 36, of Coon Rapids westbound.
The collision caused Wruck to be ejected from his car even though it was determined he was wearing a seatbelt. He was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No alcohol was detected on Wruck or any of the other victims.
Benjamin Fuller, 33, Megan Fuller, 8 and Emelia Fuller, 6, were passengers in the Hyundai and they were taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids with non-life threatening injuries. They too were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The Becker Police Dept., Sherburne County Sheriff's Office and St. Cloud Police Dept. all assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
