Pastor Amy Chalupnik has just been called to serve Trinity Lutheran Church at 449 West Broadway in Monticello beginning with the worship service at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
Pastor Chalupnik is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (B.A. in Economics and Religion) and Luther Seminary (Master of Divinity). Prior to this pastoral call in Monticello, she served as associate pastor for Faith Formation at Lord of Life Church in Ramsey and has also served as associate pastor for Faith Lutheran in Becker, where she was ordained.
Prior to answering God’s call to ministry, Chalupnik worked for KleinBank (now known as Old National Bank) and was a choir member at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. She grew up in Corcoran, MN and is a graduate of Buffalo High School (BHS).
Pastor Chalupnik prefers to be called “Pastor Amy” and is thrilled to be serving in Monticello.
“It’s almost like coming home,” she said having lived in the area since 1996.
Along with her spouse, Jason, Pastor Amy is raising two teenage boys and a large vegetable garden in Buffalo. The family enjoys vocal and instrumental music (including handbells!), amateur and pro baseball (go Twins!), watching movies, and traveling whenever possible.
“I look forward to being an integral part of the Monticello community, joining so many Trinity members already actively serving God by serving people—and meeting local needs,” she says. “You might find me at the Help Center Fundraiser or the Chamber or Rotary lunch, besides the church and the hospital.”
“I’m particularly excited about our upcoming BWCA Wilderness canoe trip in July and the “Victory — pep rally for Jesus” Vacation Bible School in August.
If one is searching for a church home, Pastor Amy would like to invite families and individuals to check out Trinity. Worship services are held Sundays at 9 a.m. and all are welcome. There’s also a Spanish-speaking congregation called Iglesia Shalom that worships at their building at 2 p.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC) has been a part of the greater Monticello area since 1947, having originally built in 1950, followed by two building remodels in 1978 and 2003.
