The Kettle in Clearwater closes doors for good

One of the many hurt by a year of pandemic restrictions, The Kettle restaurant in Clearwater has permanently closed its doors.

Owner Rory Amundson, who has run the restaurant since he bought it in 2015, said the pandemic, state restrictions, and severe lack of help are a few of the factors behind the difficult decision to close.

On Facebook and on the restaurant’s website, Amundson conveyed his gratitude and thanked his loyal customers for their support over the years. Customers expressed disappointment in the news, noting that they’ll miss the establishment and the great food served there. Some even revealed their favorite fare that will now be unavailable for them to enjoy.

Amundson purchased The Kettle from previous owner Keith Olson, who ran the business for 14 years. During that time the restaurant was known as Keith’s Kettle.
