The Easter Bunny comes to Clearwater

Clearwater area kids had double the chance to meet the Easter Bunny last Saturday, as he first stopped by the Clearwater Fire Dept. and then hopped on over to Clearwater Coborn’s.

Sponsored by the Clearwater Fire & Rescue Relief Assoc., the hunt for Easter eggs was on at 10 a.m. Kids aged 0 to 11 were invited, and the different age groups ran around excitedly gathering up brightly colored eggs. At 10:30 a basket drawing was held.

The fun also helped to raise money for Clearwater Fire & Rescue, with a ‘Fill the Boot’ donation spot displayed during the event.

The Clearwater Fire Dept.’s Easter egg hunt event had originally been planned to take place at Clearwater Sportsman’s Park, but Mother Nature had other plans, gifting the area with a fresh layer of snow the night before.

After hanging out with the kids at the fire department, the Easter Bunny hopped over to Coborn’s at 11 a.m. There he greeted kids and sat with them for photographs. Kids 12 and under also had the opportunity to decorate sugar cookies, complete Easter crafts, and gather up eggs filled with candy.
