The Becker Public Library has been receiving many phone calls lately asking if they are open at the Becker branch of Great River Regional Library.
They are pleased to announce that they are open at the Becker branch for all their regular library services without an appointment. This includes:
• Browsing and checking out books, with contactless check-out if preferred;
• Using their computer, WiFi, printer, and copying services;
• Relaxing, studying, and reading in the library.
Library staff are excited to welcome people back to the library and want everyone to know that they are taking appropriate precautions at the library to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (according to Great River Regional Library’s Phased Re-Opening Plan). This includes mandatory masks for all patrons and staff, capacity limits, social distancing while using library facilities, and regular sanitizing of common surfaces.
If one has a health condition that prevents one from wearing a mask, please alert library staff and they can do one’s browsing for them and bring the items out to the customer’s vehicle. Of course, curbside delivery is still available for those who prefer it.
While all Great River Regional Library in-house programs are suspended until 2021, staff are still offering Make-and-Take craft kits, online storytimes, and other passive programs. Be sure to check their website regularly for library hours and events at: www.griver.org/locations/becker.
