On Nov. 9, 2022, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received information that physical evidence recovered at the scene of the Aug. 22, 2022 bank robbery at American Heritage Bank in Clearwater had been linked to an individual in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Further follow-up investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of law enforcement agencies in Wisconsin, led to the arrest of Daren Teague, 30, from Milwaukee. Teague has been extradited from Wisconsin and is currently being held at the Wright County Jail. He has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Terroristic Threats by the Wright County Attorney’s Office.
