St. Cloud School District updates learning model plans

In response to guidance from the Minnesota Dept. of Education, Minnesota Dept. of Health, and local health officials and based on changes in community health data, St. Cloud Area School District is updating its learning model plans.

The updated plans prioritize their youngest learners, as required by the Governor, along with the health and safety of the learning community. This systematic, phased approach minimizes transitions and provides the best opportunity for a sustainable, quality, educational experience for the students.

The targeted date for in-person learning for PK-5 is now Feb. 3 and the tentative return to hybrid learning for secondary students is on Feb. 1. This is a change and acceleration to the plans presented on Dec. 16.

SCSD remains eager to get their students back in school and believe their systematic, phased approach provides the best way to achieve this goal.
