A “Chalk Talk” with artist Wing Young Huie will be a feature of a formal reception in honor of the current “I Am An Artist” exhibition now on display at the Paramount Visual Art Center in St. Cloud, according to BHS art teacher Jo Svaren. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15.
The exhibition is the result of collaboration between students from Becker, Foley, St. Cloud Apollo and St. Cloud Tech, with the support of the St. Cloud State university Art Department, Svaren said. She also used a video describing the project and showcasing several of the artists in a presentation she made to the Becker Board of Education at their Monday night meeting, highlighting the importance of art in education. The collaboration was made possible through state Integration Revenue funding, Svaren said.
